bmw-mini

Are you a proud BMW or Mini Cooper owner?  You can get a Bluetooth headset with the BMW or Mini logo on it and sync your BlackBerry to it (or any other Bluetooth cellular, but that’s boring).  These headsets will be available at BMW and Mini dealerships in the next few months.  There is no word on if they will be offered at cellular carrier stores.  As for the colors, they will come in both black and white.  Prices are not confirmed yet, but expect to spend some dough if you’re picking one up at the dealer.

blackberry bold new os

It was so predictable that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 was going to get another OS 5.0 leaked update as the Storm hit big with its 5.0.0.323.  This just got in and I am very certain that the link will not be active too long so download while you still can.  This is the leaked OS 5.0.0.314 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000.  Download and install at your own risk as this is not an officially released version from RIM.  If you do decide to install, drop us a line below and let us know how it goes for you.

Talk about a great deal! Virgin Mobile has just went ahead and dropped all its BlackBerry device prices.  The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 and BlackBerry Pearl 8130 have both dropped to $0.00 making it absolutely free with a 3 year contract plan.  The BlackBerry Curve 8330 has also went down in price as it is now only $29.99 with any 3 year plan.  Virgin Mobile offers quite a good plan for BlackBerry devices.  For only $50 CA, you can get 200 anytime minutes, 500mb of data, and unlimited night + weekend minutes.  Again all these plans are 3 year contracts and only for Canadians.

Various insider tips including ones from BBOS and CB have confirmed that October 28th is the day for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 to make its launch for Verizon.  Continue reading to check out the image we got of the Verizon blog stating a 10/28/09 launch.  The BlackBerry Storm 2 is a new and improved refined version of the original BlackBerry Storm which disappointed many with its laggy and buggy operating system.  The Storm 2 offers even newer and advanced touch screen technology along with an operating system more responsive than ever.  The memory has been increased to enable users to have more virtual memory as well as download more applications.  Apple iPhone owners have endless amounts of memory to download applications, and this is where the BlackBerry Storm is trying to pick up in enabling its owners to have a wide variety of them as well.

STORMOS

For all you out there messing around with your BlackBerry Storm, trying to strive and find that perfect OS that will make your device flawless, here’s an OS worth a shot.  Of course it isn’t official as the other OS 5.0 downloads are all leaked ones.  This is a hybrid OS of 5.0.0.238 meaning that the files have been edited and put together from other versions to make the best out it.  Download and install at your own risk.  We personally have been running this hybrid all morning on our unlocked testing Storm 9530 all morning and haven’t had any problems yet.  This hybrid OS works for both the Storm 9500 and Storm 9530.  If you do decide to download this hybrid OS, let us know about your experience by droppin’ a comment below.  Cheers!

Sure there’s plenty of applications out there that will convert videos to work for your BlackBerry.  RealPlayer SP takes it to the next step in full conversion specifically for the BlackBerry with a whole bunch of goodies.  Let’s say you see a YouTube video that you like a lot and woudl very much like to have a copy of it on your BlackBerry.  RealPlayer SP will rip videos off of any flash site including YouTube and convert it to work on your BlackBerry.  There are both premium and free editions of the application, but if you ask me the free one does the job just fine.

Now you can enjoy playing with both the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520/9550.  Late last night the Bold 9700 emulator released on BlackBerry’s website available for PC download.  The emulator will give you a better idea as to what the device is like hands-on, but of course isn’t as accurate as having it in your hand.  This gives you a chance to see the menus, options, and new features RIM has put in this OS 5.0 device.  We put out endless amounts of videos, including a great clip from a AT&T representative showing all the ins and outs of the device.

Browsing via BlackBerry? Click here to view video

AT&T customers have been quite worried for awhile with all the other carrier announcements, and not seeing much on AT&T’s website or public announcements.  This video should calm and sooth you out for the time being as it is a BlackBerry Bold 9700 via AT&T being reviewd by none other than Seth who is an AT&T employee himself.  The Bold 9700 is the smallest 3G QWERTY BlackBerry out there, says Seth.  You’ll find out all sorts of interesting facts and fun features.  Enjoy the film.

You can now enjoy playing with the BlackBerry Storm 2 online as Verizon has decided to tease you all by putting up an emulator on their website.  You can’t browse the web through it or anything, but you can pretty much click around and get a general glimpse of what the device will have to offer you.  But keep in mind, that you must see this device in person and experience it for yourself before making the decision.  Do not base your perception of the device based on the online emulator.
