According to several sources, the Craigslist app will be making its BlackBerry App World launch in the new few days.  In this ten minute video, you’ll see all the ins and outs of the application as it makes life easier now browsing through Craigslist.  Their mobile site is ok enough to get by, but an application is always better.

Just as Storm2 accessories were getting locked and loaded at Best Buy stores before the launch of the device, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 also has some advanced planning going on.  Accessories for the Curve2 (8530) are starting to arrive at Verizon Wireless retail storefronts, as the device should hit big for the carrier.  The BlackBerry Curve 8330 did it big with Verizon as it became the most popular model.  With the BlackBerry Curve2 8530, it’ll be next big thing for the average consumer as it rocks 3G and WiFi while the 8520 for T-Mobile does not.  At first the device was considered to be a basic BlackBerry, but it looks like this Curve2 is not so basic, as it got a nice upgrade to it.  So what do we have here pictured?  It looks like the privacy screens are good to go for the Curve2, so you won’t have to worry about people screen peaking.  Also pictured is the body glove snap on cover and standard silicon casing.  OtterBox or Invisible Shield anyone?

Just watching this video makes you go wild with all the interactive game play shown.  Super Monkey Ball was shown at the BlackBerry Developer Conference as a demo, which will soon be coming to your BlackBerry.  As you can see, Open GL is going to be a real big hit success.  As the game demo lags a bit, further research in optimizing memory and such for the BlackBerry will take its roll.

pb pearl flip 8220

For the next few days, we’re going to be putting up posts here and there on the BlackBerry Pearl Flip as we felt it doesn’t (nor did it ever) receive enough coverage or appreciation as it should.  As we just took it out of the box this morning, we can all acknowledge that the big screen is definitely a beauty.  It’s not a high tech hi-def one like the Bold 9700, or compare to it in any way, but for its decently low price, it’s a great bang for your buck.  Reading through emails and messages works a charm as the screen is really long so you can view more at a time without having to scroll down.

blackberry

Sure there are many apps out there that tell you what’s around you such as Buzzd, and perhaps Google Maps.  Urbanspoon is a unique app in helping you decide where to eat.  As the app had its launch with the iPhone, BlackBerry was surely to be next.  As described on their website, Urbanspoon is sort of like a “restaurant slot machine.”  Pushing the space bar, or shaking your BlackBerry (Storm only eligible for shaking) will allow the app to pick a good restaurant for you nearby.  There’s customizable features such as cuisine specifications and price that appeal to you.  Don’t like the results? Keep spinning til you get what you like.

If you don’t want to use the randomized function you can go ahead and browse restaurants manually that are all around you to select exactly what is desired by your tummy.

bbtheme build

RIM went through some exciting topics yesterday at the BlackBerry Developer Conference.  One big surprise was seeing the gates open to theme submission in the BlackBerry App World.  This was rumored weeks ago, but RIM now confirms that themes can be submitted there making them available for purchase or free download.  The new and improved theme builder has been officially launched by RIM, as you can download it from their website.

super qwerty

We spent a good hour messing around with Super QWERTY last night and we are indeed very impressed by it.  There are no crazy bells and whistles to it at all, making the app simple and straight to the point in its purpose.  Basically, Super QWERTY lets you get to apps on your BlackBerry such as SMS, Messages, Browser, BlackBerry Messenger, Calendar, Google Maps, etc but just hitting one key.  As the developers of the app put it, it’s a “must have tool on BlackBerry,” which we’d have to agree with them on that.  And to all those who are rockin’ a BlackBerry Bold 9700 like myself, have no worries as the app is fully compatible.  Click the link below to purchase for only $3.99 or continue reading to see further features and instructions how to use.
