It’s been very exciting during the past few days as we’ve been testing out the all new BlackBerry Bold 9700 for T-Mobile.  So far, we have been impressed by its enhancements and new features.  The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the second generation Bold to release just one year after the first 9000 made its way to us.  Overall, we see that the size has been greatly reduced and the all new trackpad has officially replaced the trackball.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the thinnest BlackBerry on the market.  The most noticeable difference between the new Bold and the old one is the sizw. The new Bold now measures at 4.29 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by 0.56 inch thick and weighs about 4.3 ounces while the original Bold ranks at 4.48 inches high by 2.6 inches wide by 0.59 inch deep and 4.8 ounces.  The Bold 9700 goes side by side better with the BlackBerry Tour, which used to be oh so small and slim in our eyes until the new Bold came in town.

The white BlackBerry Bold 9000 recently launched for AT&T enabling customers all over the country to have a fashionable alternative to the black colored one which seemed boring for some.  We’ve seen the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and the Pearl come in white, but we were all shocked to see the Bold get the same treatment.  In this picture, Ashely Tisdale rocks a white BlackBerry Bold 9000 along with her dog.  Does this change your perception on the device given that a famous person is carrying it around?

Several reports are indicating that T-Mobile customers are unable to receive calls at this time.  When dialing a T-Mobile user, a busy tone will be given, and nothing more.  This has been going since 5PM EST roughly.  So far all complaints are coming from the New Jersey and New York region.  If you are having issues in your area, drop us a line and let us know.

The folks over at CrackBerry came across this advertisement which we had to share with you.  As it does make us laugh, this exemplifies true horrible marketing.  Someone didn’t do their job right, as we saw a mistake like this happen last year with another Curve advertisement.  Any way, the ad offers a free BlackBerry Curve 8330 if you’re in the market for one.
