New BlackBerry Developer Widgets now available

Attention all BlackBerry app developers, it’s time to get the ball rolling with application enhancements.RIM has went ahead and released the new BlackBerry Web Plug-in 2.0 Beta 1. So what exactly does this offer for developers? Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse web tooling is all we can say. Both components are now included and available for download. There’s still support for debugging and profiling web sites at the moment, but what’s been added is OS 5.0 capability as far as debugging goes.
So let’s cut the chase. What’s the real big news here? BlackBerry Widgets are now in play allowing you to create widgets within applications for the BlackBerry platform. There’s a full tutorial around this provided by RIM that will come up upon opening the new developer application giving you multiple online resources and forums that will help better your widget creations.
