BlackBerry users: Add McDonald’s to your WiFi Hotspot List
by The PocketBerry Team
Knowing where your WiFi hotspots are is really important as a BlackBerry user. Some of you may not have WiFi equipped on them, but most of you who keep up to date, and strive to have the best and baddest Berry out there then this does concern you. Ronen over at BerryReview spotted on the Wallstreet Journal that McDonald’s will be putting out free WiFi by January 2010. These services will be provided through AT&T as we see in many Starbucks locations nationwide. So far 11,000 out of the 14,000 domestic locations will be getting these WiFi Hotspots by AT&T. So what’s McDonald’s trying to do here? We all have seen McCafe launch which is basically a McDonald’s but providing coffees and gourmet treats like Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. From what it looks like, McDonald’s is trying to become a more sit-in spot to sip on coffee, get your Internet duties done, and have a 1100 calorie burger while you’re at it.
