question marks

We’re curious to see what YOU the users have to say about BlackBerry devices of the future.  What are your expectations? What would you like to see implemented in future devices?

I myself have some personal thoughts on what should be done.  Some of my thoughts on ideas come from the Android platform.  Desktop widgets just like the Android would be a thrill for everyone.  I’m not looking to see RIM replicate the Android operating system, but there are bells and whistles that would go hand in hand with the BlackBerry OS.

We want to hear your ideas! Drop us a line below with some suggestions and expectations of new BlackBerry devices.

everything should stay consistent. rim needs to step out of touch screen devices and stick to what they do best. increase the processors big time as well as ram. enough of this 256mb and 512mb. put 1gb 2gb 4gb 8gb etc. give us a 1ghz processor!

widgets would be nice. what i would like to see is speed enhancements. i have the storm 2 and have seen lots of improvements as far as speed goes. id like to see more iphone movement where everything is just so smooth. that would be rims next venture to getting blackberry up in touch screen devices.

aka: BIS stability. they better get with the program or I'm going Android, which I probably will whether they fix it or not =P

Installing apps to the memory card without 3rd party app.

I would like to see freedom from BIS. How about an approach like other smartphones have? I'll buy the device and the data plan from my carrier. Don't make me have to use BIS. I couldn't even use WiFi while BIS was down–that's ridiculous.

My only sticking point with RIM is their requirement to use BES or BIS. My company won't support BES with Exchange because it would just be one more thing to maintain. BES and BIS were necessary before Exchange built in their sync processes, but now that Exchange has those functions RIM is falling behind. Every other major phone manufacturer builds Exchange sync into their OS. If RIM doesn't open this up by mid-year 2010, I will be switching. It is a make-or-break on the phone.
