The Mysterious BlackBerry: Have you seen me?
by The PocketBerry Team
I can just imagine what the beta testing facility consists of at Research in Motion. We all fail to acknowledge that there are BlackBerry prototypes which float around without us ever hearing or seeing anything about them. Here’s a very odd prototype that looks something like an HTC phone and perhaps has a slider keyboard in landscape mode. What we see in the image is a trackball in between the BlackBerry button and back button. The device is of course touch screen but looks quite old if you ask me. Trackballs are old news folks, so consider yourself rockin’ a throwback if you have a trackball still (sorry Tour users). There’s not much to say about this leaked image, other than the fact that it looks quite old and not attractive at all.
I’m very much glad they never released this device because the last thing we want to hear is that RIM is copying other phones. We heard it all after the BlackBerry Storm launch from Apple users, and certainly don’t need to hear it from HTC fanatics too.
