The BlackBerry Boom in Indonesia
by The PocketBerry Team
Earlier today, we had CNN on and caught the end of this BlackBerry report in Indonesia. Luckily we were able to find it on their website to share with you guys. After seeing this video, we can see why the Indonesian goverment became anxious for BlackBerry. According to the news report, there are five times as many BlackBerrys than there are iPhones. A few months ago, we showed you a report generated by their carrier InMobi which exemplified in statistics how the BlackBerry beats the iPhone. So what’s the key here? For one thing it’s price. In Indonesia, the BlackBerry is far more cheaper than the iPhone. A BlackBerry can go for $500 while an iPhone can cost about $900. Many are getting out of the country BlackBerry devices, as they can be cheaper. Unlocking services are really popular overseas in third world countries and all over Europe.
