Of course, Salomondrin does it again, but this time it gets quite exciting. We showed you screenshots of the new BlackBerry Tour 2 that was formerly known as the Essex, then later got a 9650 number. Here we see a Verizon branded one, which continues to remind us that the end of the waiting tunnel is coming soon. The device is still due to release in the beginning of 2010, and are strongly believing in that since RIM has been good on its grind with no delays or recalls lately.

Yesterday was just so frustrating. Too many sites reported the launch of the PayPal app being available at the BlackBerry App World, not linking to it or anything. Many of us went crazy trying to find a download link as every article said that the application was legitimately available. Now we are announcing its very official launch and availability over at the BlackBerry App World. It launched late last night and I’m sure many of you got your hands on it by now. For those who haven’t and do use PayPal, the application is awesome and you’ll definitely want to check it out.

We just got a tip in from Ricky letting us know about some new stuff in town. The famous freebie weather app we all know as WeatherEye just got a nice facelift. It looks like their next version is out as an open public beta, where the developers are asking you the users to provide feedback. We were expecting to see this appear in the BlackBerry App World Test Center, but it has yet to show up. Perhaps a matter of days, or not at all depending on how open this beta is intended to be.
New features included:
- New WeatherEye design
- WiFi Connectivity
- Ability to add multiple cities
- Radar maps
- Hourly forecast
- GPS locator
