‘Tis the season to be jolly and RIM has decided to scratch your backs with a freebie.  Looking for that catchy song from the BlackBerry commercials? Today’s your day.  RIM has put out the song “All you need is love” absolutely free for all you to download easily.  On the page as seen above in the screenshot, they write out “if you can’t get enough of the song from the BlackBerry commercials, download ‘All You Need is Love’ for free.”  So head over to BlackBerry now and download this complementary song either on your BlackBerry or desktop.

question marks

We’re curious to see what YOU the users have to say about BlackBerry devices of the future.  What are your expectations? What would you like to see implemented in future devices?

I myself have some personal thoughts on what should be done.  Some of my thoughts on ideas come from the Android platform.  Desktop widgets just like the Android would be a thrill for everyone.  I’m not looking to see RIM replicate the Android operating system, but there are bells and whistles that would go hand in hand with the BlackBerry OS.

We want to hear your ideas! Drop us a line below with some suggestions and expectations of new BlackBerry devices.

blackberry-storm

Here’s some nice leaked info to get right before the holidays.  Late last night, we saw over at Salomondrin’s tweets that the next BlackBerry Storm in production will have a slide-out keyboard.  It won’t landscape slidin’ like the Motorola Droid.  That’s what we expected to see next from RIM any way, given that they are going in competition with Android now, not just the iPhone.  So far, specs that we found over from BBLeaks, the Storm 3 will have 512MB of RAM, thin as the iPhone 3GS, and have a 19 second boot time.  Impressive?

Ever had BlackBerry candy? Before you all get excited, we’re here to disappoint in letting you know that the SweetBerry has no affiliation with Research in Motion, but is targeted for the younger ones who cannot have a BlackBerry just yet.  So what exactly is the SweetBerry? It’s a QWERTY BlackBerry looking device stiff buttons, all except the space bar which reads “ringer” and the capital “aA” button which shows musical notes on them instead.  When pressing any of those three buttons, a different ringtone will play.  Little sugar candies are dispensed in the back where the battery should be.

blackberry-tour2-2

So what is the Tour 2 9650 exactly? From what we all understand so far, it’s the same as the Tour 9630, but rocks a trackpad, faster processor, true 3G, and a WiFi adapter.  Physically the device looks the same as the older Tour in its size, shape, and style.  The internal specs have been souped up with some extra juice.  So far sources say that the device is expected to launch sometime in the beginning of 2010.  The folks over at BGR have gotten their hands on a 9650 and have taken some great high definition images which are far better than all the sloppy leaked photos we’ve seen here and there.  We got some of our favorites picked out below, but you can always head over to the gallery by clicking here.

8530 screener

Why not? Sure the BlackBerry is an emailing device but sure is entertainment.  From playing music and watching videos to buying and downloading games, the BlackBerry becomes universal for anything you desire.  So we had quite a gaming experience when it came to the BlackBerry Curve 8530.  As it wasn’t anything near th Storm 2 9550, the Curve 8530 still gets some credit.

So as a quick overview, some games we went through were The Dark Knight, GT Slots, GT Blackjack.  On a side note, GT Blackjack did work at first to the menu, then received an “uncaught exception error” and hasn’t been able to open since.  After deleting and reinstalling, the same instance happens.  We even reinstalled the OS as well where the problem still exists and did not even work on the first trial run.  As a fan of Blackjack, I was quite disappointed.

Capture14_25_22

Over the past couple days, Tweeteev has been blowing up everywhere on how there is a blurry video of what seems to be Tweeteev running on a BlackBerry Bold 9700.  Yesterday we reminded you and posted up the OTA link for the leaked version of Tweeteev fully operational.  If you currently use a BlackBerry Bold 9700, then you are more than free to download it and have it working just fine.  To clear up all confusions on Tweeteev, the leaked beta that is currently floating around the web does also work for the Bold 9700.  Several blogs and online publications are marking videos of Tweeteev running on the Bold 9700 as if it were some sort of phenomenon.  We’re putting up the OTA link again for those who got deep into thinking Tweeteev on a Bold 9700 was way out of this world and exclusive.

Tip: If you decide to record a YouTube video of your experience, use the focus on your camera please.
