BlackBerry Curve 8910 spotted out in the wild
by The PocketBerry Team![]()
Our friends over at BerryReview got sent an image from one of their sources of the all new BlackBerry Curve 8910. The device is said to have os 5.0 installed according to Ronen and a bunch of other new features like the trackpad. Yes, the trackpad has become the new norm with BlackBerry devices so get used to them, and definitely enjoy them. Any way, some rumors we heard was that the BlackBerry Curve 8910 is not going to come 3G and will be running over the EDGE network. Other sites have claimed that it will have 3G, but we don’t know yet.
The screen resolution will stay storng at 480 x 360. Other specs included will be of course WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth (duh). We couldn’t imagine an upgraded Curve 89xx missing specs of its ancestor.
Given that this device does hit AT&T, we see no problem with that, as it would just cause too much confusion to choose between the Curve 8910 and the Bold 9700. As is, there seems to be some confusion as to where the device comes in rank, but in my opinion it will just be replacing the 8900 or be an update for it rather, still standing tall over the Curve 85xx. Time will tell, and this is just a new beginning to the BlackBerry Curve 8910 leakage.

What we noticed about the device is that the top portion of it where the trackpad and send/end buttons lay are very similar to the Bold 9700. The key difference is the keyboard which by the look of BlackBerry history, this is the BlackBerry Curve signature keyboard where it gives legitimate spaces between the keys. Devices such as the Bold and Tour will continue to have the stuck together keys.

How about this spec sheet? Also found by BerryReview, it almost acts as a notary for the image to back it up as being true and genuine.
