your an idiot. the clip was fixed and if you call otterbox theyll give u a whole new clip that doesnt make it all drop out and fall. look how the “utter moron” now. what a tool this guy is!

Whoever reviewed this holster case combo on this website is an utter moron. You obviously did not try to put the phone in the holster in different conditions. IE on your belt, off your belt, with a jacket on, sitting in a car. There is just no level of confidence when I’m using this case/holster combo I find myself constantly checking to see if my phone is still on my hip. OTTERBOX UTTER FAIL

They have released a new holster fixing that issue. Email them to have them send you one.

The otterbox 9700 defender case and holster are HORRIBLE you only need bump the phone an it will pop right out of the holster! I actually had my phone pop out unnoticed outside where i live – 25 thank god I found it. Now that being said the case itself is rugged but just the other day I popped my phone out to answer it and one of the posts on the case which hold it in the holster broke off…… WHY i ask WHY did they go and reinvent the wheel and make a new holster did they even remotely field test this device obviously they did NOT.

that’s your fault not the phone or the otterbox’s. Your post sounds lame and dumb! Otterbox doesn’t claim to protect a phone from being dropped in oil. LOL…….WOW!!!!! I bet the people you got your phone from thought you were really stupid!

I just purchased both the defender series and also the bold 9700. I have had it for three weeks. I work in and around alot of oil, I thought I was covered but just last night I bumped my phone withou knowing it. When I realized my phone was lost from its holster it was to late. Soaking in oil. My Phone is ruined. My service provided will do nothing. I called otterbox and the said they could do nothing but replace the otterbox. What good is it if I have no PHONE for it. Don’t buy unless you are okay with losing or damaging your phone.
