A few weeks ago we told you about OtterBox’s plans on releasing another series line of cases for mobile phones. Tonight’s the night as OtterBox will be officially announcing it and showing it off. Above is a teaser video to keep you at the tips of your toes for now. It’s a tough call what to expect at the moment.
As you all know, OtterBox started off with the Defender series which is the heavy duty three layer case to protect your BlackBerry in the worst case scenerios. Next we saw the Impact series which was just a high end silicon case with anti-shock pads inside. Later on the Commuter series released which was somewhere in between th Defender series and Impact as it wasnt too big, nor was it too small and thin. The Commuter series provides both silicion and hardshell wrapping around the phone protecting it and not making look so bulky.

It’s been a long day today and seeing all the new gadgets and surprises today have been overwhelming. As you all know by now, the BlackBerry Presenter was officially announced yesterday from RIM, but did not attract too many folks who don’t have a need for it. What many were expecting was an actual projector device, or something just like the Presenter but showed everything on the BlackBerry screen up on a TV streaming smoothly. That would included audio, video, pictures, and everything else. The BlackBerry Presenter is a PowerPoint slideshow assistant as it can be used for slide shows wirelessly, allowing you walk around a room with the BlackBerry in your hand switching slides off of a projector or TV via the presenter. Check out the video for a full hands on video of it at CES.

We were all anxious to see what was going at RIM’s booth over at the Consumer Electronic Show this year but many were disappointed seeing that there weren’t much of any surprise devices appearing. Over the past few days, lots of blogs and Twitter users rumored that there would possibly be a BlackBerry Pearl 9100 appearance or perhaps the all new Tour 9650 which is already supposed to come out sometime in the next few months. We expect more of this in April at WES.
So what did RIM’s booth consist of? For starters, all the major BlackBerry devices were there on display. How could they not be? there are lots of accessories being displayed. The all new HS500 which is the official BlackBerry Bluetooth headset has its own little showcase include some demos to play around with. Endless OEM holsters that we never see in carrier retail stores were displayed. I went ahead made a note to one of the BlackBerry folks that some of these accessories are not available in retail store locations (in North America that is) and the representatives explained that some of the accessories were exclusive to ShopBlackBerry.com, which is the official BlackBerry Store for accessories.

Just the other day in our Highlights of 2009 article, we made a small mention on Tila Tequila and how she took pictures similar to Kim Kardashian. Here we see Tila Tequila go at again seducing that significant other(s) whoever he/she may be. Either way, we’re satisfied with the incredible amounts of entertainment Tila Tequila, Kim Kardashian, and even Lindsay Lohan have given us through these BlackBerry photos they take of themselves. According to this photo, Tila Tequila is using a BlackBerry Curve 8900 with T-Mobile service. Does she not know that the 9700 is out? I guess not. And who know what she’s been doing for years. Last I heard she was a Hooters girl in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

For the most part, Case-Mate has been major in providing top-notch cases and holsters for mobile phones including the BlackBerry. We didn’t hear much in advanced on what they were going to show us at CES, but we are quite impressed by what they had to show us today.
The Go Bare is a solution-free protection film for most mobile devices and yes is going to be available for the BlackBerry. This may remind you of ZAGG’s Invisible Shield which is also a clear layer that wraps around the phone, allowing you to enjoy your phone naked but protected. Case-Mate is heading in the same direction in invisible protection. Some cool features we saw on the Go Bare was that it works without having to spray anything on your phone or fingers. From what they promise, the Go Bare uses military-grade material giving your BlackBerry maximum protection.
A lifetime warranty is in play here so no matter what happens to your Go Bare, Case-Mate has your back. A confirmed price on their website shows a $24.99 price tag. Continue reading for the full press release from Case-Mate.

It’s been a very overwhelming day with all the new technologies and surprising partnerships and merges happening at CES today. Ford succeeds today in amusing us with the announcement of a new partnership. Imagine being able to update your Twitter status on the road while driving. Typing can be dangerous while driving, and I know after saying that, the ZoomSafer people will flood our comments telling us it’s not safe to text and drive as they did in my BlackBerry Storm 2 experience article. Ford has just made some nice announcements today on a partnership between them and Pandora, Stitcher, and OpenBeak.
OpenBeak, which is formerly known as TwitterBerry is now going to be equipped within Microsoft SYNC technology which is featured in their cars currently. Steering wheel controls would allow you to push and speak your Twitter status to be updated promptly.
Stitcher, being more of a satellite radio type of service will have the eligibility of being streamed in the car, but we don’t have much of any details on what Ford plans to do with this besides just in-dash radio controls. Stitcher is a popular BlackBerry application that has been out almost a year now giving free broadcasts of news, sports, general talk, and much more all on demand. Continue reading to check out more info including the official press release from Ford.

Fan of playing poker? Next time you’re ready to hit the casino make sure you dressed accordingly, both you and your BlackBerry. The Poker King theme is more of a “wow” on the eyes than it is a functional one. There’s no crazy widgets to it as it is just very simple. The service bars up top have been replaced with poker chips which I find fascinating. When hovering over the calendar on the home screen, you’ll get your calendar data to show right on the poker table. Currently the devices supported are: and 87xx, 81xx, 82xx, 83xx, 835oi, 85xx, 88xx, 8900, 9000, 9700, 96xx, 95xx. The theme is only $4.99 to buy and keep forever.

It looks like the long celebrated BlackBerry Bold 9000 is coming to an end. Not exactly. BG got a hat tip about the BlackBerry Bold 9000 coming out in a non-camera version, which we heard of and saw on AT&T’s Twitter in the past. The rumor has it that carriers are going to stop carrying the camera version of the Bold 9000, in order to push folks to the Bold 9700 instead and keep business users at the Bold 9000 with no camera. Does mean goodbye to the 88xx series? The Bold 9000 is definitely a great alternative with its similar size to the 88xx series, but the issue here is that it’s currently only being offered by AT&T in the US. Replacing the previous 88xx series across the board would require carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon to rock the 9000 as well. How do you folks feel about a camera-less Bold 9000?
