BlackBerry smartphones are quite famous in the hands of celebrities these days along with a Grande or Venti Starbucks beverage.  In this clip, Jerry Seinfield explains how the BlackBerry always goes in the hand and becomes a rude gesture when he tries talking to his friends and coworkers while they slowly end up looking down at their BlackBerry.  In comparison he throws the fact that we have all become unaware of rude behavior and doing such an act is like holding up a magazine in your face flipping pages while someone is trying to talk to you.  As a Berry user I agree, and most of you would.  Watch this quick minute and a half clip of Jerry Seinfield putting down the Berry user on Conan.

PocketBerry reader Rob just sent this clip in moments ago and we had to share this with you all. We haven’t been getting enough info, news, videos, and images of the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 which was leaked well over a month ago.  It looks like Salomondrin isn’t the only one on the block rockin’ the device.  Other testers have been fortunate enough to show us clips like this just to get you hyped for the release.  Here we see the 9100 side by side with the 9700 as they both are really sexy.

Yesterday we talked about the new Viper StartSmart application for BlackBerry that will be shown off a bit a CES in the next few days.  A while back we told you about the Chevy Volt applcation for BlackBerry which will give you full control of the vehicle’s options.

Starting your car via BlackBerry is obviously one of the features included as well as seeing all sorts of battery levels of the hybrid.  You can lock and unlock your vehicle at the press of a button too which seems a bit scary if your device was stolen.  With that said, it’s time to start setting a password on your BlackBerry if you haven’t already.  There’s a lot of other cool features on the app you have to see for yourself, such as setting times to charge the battery and how you’d like to charge it.  The video shows the app get demoed on a BlackBerry Storm 9530 which is great to see it’s not only for the Storm 2 9550 and 9520.  Continue reading for more including the video link.

Here’s a really shocking video I came across over at BlackBerry Motion.  So the question is how long can a BlackBerry last underwater?  The video is about two minutes long, where you’ll see the BlackBerry survive and stay functional the whole ride through.  Take a look at the video yourselves and drop your jaws.  This video in no way convinces me to try the test at all as there is no solid proof if that is indeed water, rubbing alcohol, distilled water, etc.  I wouldn’t recommend any of you folks to try it either, especially with your primary BlackBerry.
