Just yesterday, we showed you the screenshot of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 for Boost Mobile rockin’ OS 5.0 out of the box.  As everyone linked to each other for the finding, it started rooting out as being questionable if OS 5.0 really did come with it or not.  Well here’s living proof to all those still baffled over the small matter.  OS 5.0.0.438 to be exact is here for the BlackBerry Curve 8330 via Boost Mobile.  Thanks Max for sending this in.

BlackBerry comes in many different shapes and forms.  A while back we saw the trendy BlackBerry soap bar that was based on the 71xx series.  Also, BlackBerry earrings were introduced for the ladies which are based of the Curve 83xx from what it looks like.  Today, Matt over at BlackBerry Cool found some pretty cool cufflinks that look like small BlackBerry 88xx series.  I own quite a collection of cufflinks, nothing tacky at all, but never had anything close to this.  I expect to see one person at WES this year wearing them out on a blazer with jeans (tool). What kind of occasion would you wear these bad boys?

I don’t know about you but I love racing games.  If you’re looking for the same hype you get out of Mario Kart then you’ll love Cliffed.  Now I’m not going to throw you off and have you think its a race car game, because it’s not at all.  You’ll be navigating your character through crazy mazes and obstacles to advance to the next level.  The hype and craze in the game reminds me a lot of Mario Kart, but the game is different. We just got the word that Cliffed is coming to the BlackBerry platform in an awesome 2D racing game.  As some of you may know, Cliffed is already available on the iPhone and has done wonders in the App Store.

Features:

  • 12 unique and playful characters to choose from
  • Pick up and play! Great for all ages
  • Endless game play
  • Local leaderboards
  • Stylized, clean graphics
  • IUGO’s signature quality and polish

IUGO promises this game and other titles to be releasing in the next few weeks.  We don’t know if will be in the PocketBerry Store, BlackBerry App World, or even both.  Prices have not been confirmed either but in the meantime, stay teased.  Hit the jump for more screenshots of Cliffed for BlackBerry.

We already covered the findings of the BlackBerry Dakota aka Magnum prototype today, but I came across more images of the device which made me realize that it is indeed based off of the BlackBerry Bold 9000.  Plus, I never got to give my input on the device so here it goes.  Basically this prototype was created around the same time the BlackBerry Bold 9000 was.  I can’t say I’ve ever seen a BlackBerry take this long to leak out.  Hit the jump for more images.

No it’s not the same as other American Idol Mobile Game for BlackBerry we posted weeks ago. Many were disappointed before with the whole music management styled game play so here’s American Idol back again like you’ve never seen.  Hit, dodge & hold musical notes as they fly across your screen. Play a lineup of popular songs including “What I like About You.” Put on your best performance to move into the next week & access new songs. If you fall short, prepare for harsh feedback from the famous judges & try again! Master mini-games by remembering lyrics & getting noticed by the paparazzi! Enjoy hours of fun as you become the next AMERICAN IDOL!

  • Experience: There’s huge improvements in this game.  The older one wasn’t so much fun, but in this version, there are many aspects to the game where it’s not just the same routine game play over and over.  If you like the show you’ll like the game.  I hated that they didn’t put Ellen in this one.
  • Compatibility: 8100 Pearl, 8110 Pearl, 8120 Pearl, 8130 Pearl, 8220 Pearl Flip, 8230 Pearl Flip, 8300 Curve, 8310 Curve, 8320 Curve, 8330 Curve, 8330m, 8350i, 8520 Curve, 8530 Curve, 8800, 8820, 8830, 8900 Curve, 9500 Storm, 9520 Storm 2, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2, 9630 Tour, 9700 Bold

What a relief.  You can actually get this first generation Curve out of the box with OS 5.0.  No need to wait months for it like everybody else did (some still are, you know who you are Verizon Tour users).  So the Boost Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8330 is a prepaid BlackBerry giving you all the chirping bells, whistles, along with unlimited talk, text, and web (yes BIS) for only $70.  The price cannot be beat yet til date, but I’m just not so sure about Boost Mobile’s coverage in the US as it does come from Nextel.  Either way, if you’re getting a prepaid device, this is for you.  Don’t worry about software updates because the Curve 8330 comes locked and loaded with OS 5.0.

It’s a very straight forward yet handy application.  No one likes seeing SOS or Sim Card Rejected messages come up for no reason.  Your BlackBerry won’t get any calls or messages as long as those errors are up.  Thankfully, you can use FixSOS to solve your problem.  FixSOS will revive your service right back up without having to do a battery pull.

Features:

  • small and stable
  • automaticly fix SOS problem
  • trial version fixes SOS problem within 30 min
  • full version fixes SOS problem immediately

So don’t let these SOS problems take over your BlackBerry experience.  It is vital that you get your messages and phone calls as they come and not hours later when you discover the problem. FixSOS is only $4.99 from the PocketBerry Store to purchase.

Who remembers all those fake images of the BlackBerry 9900?  This device doesn’t look so different from that one.  By the style and design of this BlackBerry Dakota aka Magnum, it seems that it is an early build which will not see officially release.  The keyboard and overall design looks more like a Bold 9000, which will considered “old school” by the time the Dakota releases.
