T-Mobile gets BlackBerry Storm 2 this month

I’m still not over the fact that this is really happening.  The strictly Verizon touch screeen BlackBerry is finally making its way out and about.  For awhile I used an unlocked BlackBerry Storm 9530 but it was quite an annoyance to get everything to work properly.  Any way, now for the big news.  T-Mobile has confirmed that they are getting the BlackBerry Storm 2.  Phil Lander, the T-Mobile account director for RIM has confirmed the device’s release but with no official date.  Also he makes a small mention of the official BlackBerry Twitter application that’s expected to roll out soon as well.  Who’s excited for a GSM BlackBerry Storm 2 for T-Mobile and a BlackBerry Twitter client?

UPDATE: Just to clear out any confusion, there is no confirmation the T-Mobile US getting it, as this news seems to be form T-Mobile UK only.

what we need to acknowledge here is that it is indeed a blackberry storm 2 and has not been titled anything else. do not expect to see any redesigns, and yes, do expect it in 3G. small changes and adjustments will result in being a whole new model. in this case once again, keep in mind that it is a blackberry storm 2 and not a 3.

well i dont think its going to be anything different from verizon's but more of just what vodafone has to offer as a gsm unit. the device is releasing too soon and we would of seen leaked content in the last few months if it was intended to be something else.

firstly id like to know if its 3G or not. too many questions to ask myself before getting it. so first is it 3G? will it be the same exact one as verizon's or will we see some slight differences. what's the price. and is it internally going to be different.

yes, do expect 3G. its a storm2 like matt mentions. not a storm3 guys!

well even so i feel like it can be the same exterior but they'll just call it a "non 3G" version. right?
