Verizon End Of Life Devices: Pearl Flip 8230, Curve 8330, Storm 9530, & 8830

According to this image from Gizmofusion, it looks like three BlackBerry devices are taking a permanent step out of Verizon for good. Firstly, the short lived Pearl Flip 8230, which I believe was the biggest mistake to launch. I have yet to see someone skipping down the street on a Verizon 8230, not even a 8220 for that matter. With that said, we can accept it being gone. Next we have the 8830 World Edition. It’s been out for so long and seemed to get more business users than it did regular consumers. It’s a very solid device and pretty much replaced the old 87xx series. Seeing this one go, is quite a bummer, but makes me wonder what Verizon or RIM has in mind to replace it with now (camera-less Bold maybe). It’s sad to see the Curve 8330 go, as it is the top selling smartphone in the US now. What happens now? If you’re with Verizon, you’ll have to settle for a Tour or a newer Curve 8530 there. Lastly, with the Storm 2 9550 roaming around, the older original Storm 9530 has to phase out. Sorry to all those who are currently using one. I still have one somewhere myself and have no interest in ever scrapping it. But the truth of the matter is that the Storm 2 is a replacement for it, and the time has come where one must go.
