A couple of weeks ago we told you about the awesome application Iconify. To quickly recap what it does, Iconify allows you to make anything you want into an icon. Let it be an application, phone number, email, or anything else. I see it as an alternative to QuickLaunch where this one comes in the form of icons rather than a list. Any way, let’s cut the chase! Iconify is now on available at the PocketBerry Store and on sale for only $1.99 until March 1st where it’ll then get bumped back up to $2.49 (not a big difference).

And the leak of the day goes to the original BlackBerry Storm 9500. Today we see OS 5.0.0.484 release for the BlackBerry Storm. Doesn’t that OS sound familiar? Sure does, as the BlackBerry Tour 9630 via Sprint got the same exact one yesterday. Any way, this is a leaked OS so download and install at your own risk. Enjoy Berry users!

The official Twitter client from RIM is here! As we posted early this morning, the official Twitter Client from RIM has launched as a private beta and we were lucky enough to get invites. We promised to give you insights on what we thought about it so here we go. Collin and myself have been playing around with it all morning and overall like it. As we both used the same exact application, we some how had similar, yet different experiences.

Some of us didn’t sleep well last night, thinking all about the official Twitter client for BlackBerry. The PocketBerry Team is currently doing private beta testing for the client, as some other online publications are as well. The entire app doesn’t seem all BlackBerry branded as its just been kept as “Twitter” which is the best thing to do. Personally, I expected to see a really cool homescreen icon for it, but now that I see it’s standard, I don’t know why I expected anything crazy to begin with! The app is running very smooth now, if any of you are testing, make sure you disable your other BlackBerry Twitter clients or you’ll go mad! We’ll give you more scoop throughout the day, but wanted to give you folks the heads up that yes we do have it, and yes we’re lovin’ it so far.

As this is not going to be useful for 99% of you out there, we had to share it either way. Earlier this morning we saw this same OS being installed via MS DOS prompt and showed you all the screenshot. Hours later, we came across a download link for that very same OS 5.0.1.205 for the BlackBerry Curve 8910 as well which was discovered by our friends over at BBLeaks. Any way, if you do have a pre-release Curve 8910, we all envy you and would like to welcome you this leaked OS to enjoy.

Having Facebook application issues? Facebook is well aware of the issue and is currently trying to resolve it. For those unaware or don’t use the Facebook app, users are unable to update their news feed or anything at all as nothing is coming up. Rick just sent us the tip letting us know that Facebook is well aware of what’s going on but is giving no ETA on the resolution.
“We’re currently experiencing issues with our APIs, and as a result, some users may be unable to access the site from their devices at this time. These APIs are designed to make it possible for mobile partners to provide users with their respective Facebook applications. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”
With that limited general information given by Facebook, we all just have to sit and wait for it to work again via BlackBerry. Users are reporting that this started happening when Facebook went ahead with its face lift on their main desktop website. Coincidence or not? Probably coincidence, but we won’t know until Facebook decides to release information on the matter, if they decide to that is. Keep in mind, the whole app isn’t at a complete downage. From what we’re seeing and people are telling us, the live News Feed isn’t updating but you can still send messages and update your statuses.

It looks like Sprint wins in getting OS 5.0 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 before big red Verizon does. It’s no shock that Verizon is taking its sweet time releasing it as AT&T is also notorious for the same delays. To download, you must connect your Tour to BlackBerry Desktop Manager and you’ll be prompted via auto update. Sorry to all those expecting a .exe downloader, but this is it for now until Sprint does officially release one. As for all your Sprint customers, congrats on this new update as you’ll enjoy your BlackBerry Tour 9630 a lot more now!

It’s been awhile but Hedone is back again rockin’ some more fashionable themes. This one’s called Metalic for obvious reasons as you can see in the screenshot. The best thing I like about the theme is that the home screen is really simple, sleek, and sexy if you ask me (whoa the three S words). As you can’t see much on the home screen, when going to the app screen, you’ll be able to see all your accurate signal and battery meters. Back to the home screen, you get six customizable icons along within the time and date above it to the right. Hit the jump to check out features for each compatible device along with another screenshot to get a better idea of what to expect from Metalic.
