How far can we possibly be from the BlackBerry Tour 2 9650 launch?  The official visual voicemail application for it has leaked out as well and it wasn’t from MegaUpload.  This one’s officially linked off of Verizon Wireless, so we’re not investigating of this is to be true or not.  If you have a BlackBerry Tour 2 now, you can pick up the Visual Voicemail app OTA by clicking here.

We got the tip from Tyrone that the Craigslist application for BlackBerry is officially available over at the BlackBerry App World.  Ever since the CES ’10, we’ve been following the application, getting rumored details about it including some screenshots.  The wait is over and you can all head to the BlackBerry App World to download it for $4.99.  Yes, the price tag was surprising to us as we weren’t aware that the app was going to classified as premium.

We though it would be all over after receiving endless spam messages about Hait donations which were said to be ob behalf of RIM.  Spammers further their boredom today by passing on chain messages as seen above.  We had to see what Twitter thought about it, and ended up finding that the same message was being tweeted as well.  It’s a shame.  Dont believe?  Try pointing your BlackBerry Browser to blackberry.com/messenger to download the latest BBM.  Does anyone see a version 6.0? I didn’t think so.  So if you end up getting this spam message or something similar, please do not forward to your whole BBM list.

The folks over at FeedBerry got their hands on a BlackBerry Pearl 9100 (lucky).  A we were expecting them to post up a review on it, their post was just a notification that they have a 9100 in hand and a review will be coming soon.  So anyway, this bad boy is running OS 5.0.0.483 and as you can see is equipped with 3G and WiFi as well.  As recent rumors spurred out, the Pearl 9100 is expected to make its release to T-Mobile first with hints of AT&T getting it as well.  This device’s release is a huge deal as the last SureType device known as the Pearl Flip 82xx series did not hit the market well, leaving Pearl fans hanging until a new one releases.

Before we get into the promotion, I promised myself that I would purchase my next movie tickets using the Fandango application for BlackBerry.  Just last night I went to see Book of Eli and did not think twice about purchasing them via Fandango for BlackBerry.  Now that I got that off my chest, Fandango is putting out a special promotion pushing you, the Berry users to use their BlackBerry app to purchase movie tickets.  So whats the promotion? Until March 7th, all service fees will be waived by Fandango meaning you won’t have to pay those convenience fees and so forth.

Also, Fandango did indeed update version 1.0.12, but not with any major changes you’ll see as they’re mostly bug fixes. Don’t have Fandango for BlackBerry? Point your BlackBerry Browser to Fandango.com to download absolutely free today.

We’ve seen some crazy moments like this before if any of you recall.  Who remembers the HTC running BlackBerry OS? It’s OS 4.6.0.305 we’re seeing here to be exact according to Kyle from BlackBerry Cool.  I didn’t take the time to look closely at the screen but instead was very amused by the fact that we have BlackBerry OS running on a Nokia platform.   So from the look of it, the OS thinks its running on a Pearl 8220, which seems funny, but makes perfect sense due to the screen size here. Hit the jump to view the video.  You must be logged on via PC or Mac as it’s not a YouTube video (sorry guys!)

We had two giveaways this past week and decided we wanted to start announcing winners in a post.  Traditonally we contacted the individual winners, but find this way easier and better for contestants to come back to see if they won or not.  So here are the winners for ESCAPE and the SmrtCase covers for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.

I’m still not over the fact that this is really happening.  The strictly Verizon touch screeen BlackBerry is finally making its way out and about.  For awhile I used an unlocked BlackBerry Storm 9530 but it was quite an annoyance to get everything to work properly.  Any way, now for the big news.  T-Mobile has confirmed that they are getting the BlackBerry Storm 2.  Phil Lander, the T-Mobile account director for RIM has confirmed the device’s release but with no official date.  Also he makes a small mention of the official BlackBerry Twitter application that’s expected to roll out soon as well.  Who’s excited for a GSM BlackBerry Storm 2 for T-Mobile and a BlackBerry Twitter client?

UPDATE: Just to clear out any confusion, there is no confirmation the T-Mobile US getting it, as this news seems to be form T-Mobile UK only.
