According to this advertisement that Kyle from BlackBerry Cool came across, the BlackBerry Storm2 is making its way to Rogers Canada. Or maybe not. As Kyle suggests, the advertisement agency might have gotten lazy and replaced the word “Verizon” with “Rogers” instead, causing all sorts of misunderstandings now. Let’s hope this is for Rogers, but why so late? Yes T-Mobile UK is getting the Storm2, but you would think Rogers was always on top of their game with all their other early device releases.

Last week, we let you know about Sprint putting out OS 5.0.0.484 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630, but you had to have your Sprint branded Tour connected via Desktop Manager for it to work. Today we are announcing that Sprint has went ahead and provided the .exe for you all to download today. What’s that mean? If you have another carrier (Verizon, cough cough), you’ll be able to install it, deleting the vendor file first of course.

Here’s a very straight forward application that keeps your BlackBerry wireless. If you have a lot of contacts and calendar appointments, then WiFiSync might suit you well. It’s not by Google as this is just a third party application based on Google Sync. With just using WiFi, you can sync all your Google Calendar appointments with your contacts.
Features:
- Compatible with Google Products.
- Use WIFI interface,No Data-subscription needed!
- Most like the official Google Sync app.
WiFiSync is only $9.99 to purchase from the PocketBerry Store. You must have a WiFi adapter on your BlackBerry for it to work. Compatible devices? As we just said you need a WiFi-enabled BlackBerry, it’ll work with them all (minus the ones without WiFi obviously).

Carrier News »

Well, we’re pretty angry to see that the folks at the Skype stand (at Mobile World Congress) had nothing to say about Skype coming to BlackBerry yesterday, but we are very much happy at the same time that it is coming and has finally been announced today. Of course not only BlackBerry, but to other phones as well. So what’s the catch? It’s only on the Verizon network right now. Why did AT&T even bother enabling VoIP? If you have Verizon, congrats, we’re excited for you. Otherwise, all these other carriers need to hop on the wagon, especially T-Mobile since they’ve had WiFi calling for quite some time. It’s very fascinating to see Verizon go at this first before everyone as we hope it won’t be an exclusive agreement.
UPDATE: When I mention being exclusive to Verizon, we’re talking in terms of BlackBerry. Of course there are other devices such as the iPhone that get Skype with all its functions, but BlackBerry is left out. Sorry for any confusion folks!

Browsing via BlackBerry? Click here to view video
Exciting to see yesterday Bolt Browser got some widgets and today we see a preview of the BlackBerry WebKit Browser at Mobile World Congress. Soon enough, we’ll see mobile sites fading away as websites will be soon viewed in full desktop mode through BlackBerry. Maybe not and we’ll just get the best of both worlds. Either way, this video is awesome and definitely will keep your jaw dropped if you’ve been following the WebKit for BlackBerry for quite sometime.

The new BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express software will be provided free of charge in order to address two key market opportunities. First, the software offers economical advantages to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) that desire the enterprise-grade security and manageability of BlackBerry Enterprise Server but don’t require all of its advanced features.
