Having issues with your BlackBerry Storm2? Of course there are a lot of improvements when referring back to the original first generation Storm. But users are still having issues with dead spots and occasional “dead clicks.” What I mean by dead clicks is pushing down on the screen or button without getting a click or response at all. I personally experienced it before, and it definitely is no fun to have. So according to BBLeaks, RIM is going to be issuing BlackBerry Storm2 devices with new and improved screens. Hit the jump to check out official details.
Overview:
VZW has approved a hardware change to the Blackberry Storm 2 (BB9550) devices to improve the touchpad performance.
Resolution:
RIM has added silicone actuators to the touchpad to improve touchpad performance and tactile response. All New and Certified Like-New Replacement devices produced by RIM starting on February 10, 2010 contain the new hardware enhancement. Devices can be identified by the Green dot on the master carton and/or date code on the back of the device. (See below for details)
