Over at the Official BlackBerry Blog, we found that MyBlackBerry has gone through some major official changes today.  For those unaware, MyBlackBerry is an official forum/social network by RIM made for BlackBerry users, giving you the opportunity to get more familiar with your device and connect with other users like you.

Firstly, RIM mentions languages.  The MyBlackBerry team is looking to extend its language support beyond English, to reach out to its users all over the globe.  This is something they are still working on at the moment but will be coming soon.

Now as for the changes, the whole layout has been transformed as mentioned earlier and definitely has a more user friendly interface.

Also, by frequent requests to do so, the following has been done:

  • Quick links for your specific BlackBerry smartphone along the right-hand nav (including a link to check for BlackBerry® Device Software upgrades)
  • Ability to add your BlackBerry smartphone to “My Topics”. In one click you can see all of the recent discussions related to your smartphone.

As for the social networking aspect, you can post up your BBM barcode and have people add you that way.  Before it wasn’t so user interactive where users communicating only happened within the site itself.

There’s still more to come with the new MyBlackBerry.  Here is what’s coming up:

  • An app/mobile friendly version
  • Ability to display your BlackBerry smartphone PIN in your profile
  • Badges for our super friends who make the site spectacular
  • Easier ways to make friends

Head over to MyBlackBerry today and check out the whole new look with new features today.  If you haven’t made an account yet, feel free to do so today.
