A few days ago, Shape Services released IM+ Lite Edition which is a free version with advertisements. Better than dropping 50 bucks if you ask me. Any way, we never gave you our feedback on what we saw on the app so here we go. So as I just mentioned the Lite Edition is ad-based and does not offer IMPush/Stay online and Speech Recognition functionality. This may not big a big deal for some of you just looking to get online.
As you are all probably aware there are a lot of free messenger applications. If you have friends on all sorts of messengers, or under different accounts, like business and pleasure for example. with IM+ lite you can have everyone together.

Mobile banking is one of the most convenient activities for me. Given that I do not use CHASE, I am a little bit dissapointed that I won’t have the same enjoyment all you account holders will have. Ronen from BerryReview got an email from CHASE which basically said that a BlackBerry application will be coming soon. As it is marked for “early 2010,” we can expect to see this roll out any time soon. Who’s up for it?

It looks like another forward message is floating around today, only this time it’s about Facebook. So the message says “If you know anyone that has facebook on blackberry tell them not 2 open an email saying password confirmation from facebook management, it has over 100 viruses, pass msg on.” I checked out Twitter too, and it looks like this is getting retweeted quite frequently over the past hour. Have any of you received any emails from an alleged Facebook Management or is this more BBM spam?

The blog are all reporting there was and maybe still is an outage with Verizon’s data network. My second BlackBerry is a Verizon 8530 and I haven’t had any issues all morning. Not on WiFi or anything like that and I was definitely using BBM. I asked some fellow New York residents who happen to have Verizon too and they haven’t had anything this past hour. Is the outage done? Who had one to begin with?

To put the weekend on a good note, we gave you leaked details on the BlackBerry Slider that has been rumored. The folks over at BBLeaks have managed to get some screenshots of the the device. Pretty damn sexy if you ask me. We’re happy to see that it does come with a trackpad. Hopefully that stays in the final release also. According to the details confirmed, it will be touch screen, so having a trackpad or not raised a lot of questions. We can all rest assure that it does have one, so far. Keyboard appears to be the same as the Bold and Tour which I like. The Curve keys just wouldn’t look right. Hit the jump to check out the other screenshot.
