This is honestly a well put theme with some “legends” in the background such as Elvis Presley himself. I thought I’d share it with all you folks as it’s a really simple theme many of you wouldn’t mind switching to as it is plain and simple. Special thanks to Cool BlackBerry Themes for providing this theme! The OTA download link is available below the screenshots.

This was a really interesting video I came across over at BBNews.pl. Basically MOTO Development Labs runs a touchscreen performance test on all these smartphones to see which has the most accurate touchscreen sensitivity. They use a robotic sensor to run through the screen in the same motions for each device showing where the screen doesn’t sense your “finger” correctly. You’ll see the BlackBerry Storm2 and other devices get lined up to see who has the best screen. Still confused? Check out the video for yourselves and be amazed.

I really don’t think many of you will find this useful, but for those who don’t believe in trial and error, and would rather know things before hand, then check out this official Twitter for BlackBerry User Guide. Also it’s great if you haven’t had the chance to try out the app yet. The document seems to be more user friendly on how to use Twitter in general than it is on the specific app. At the same time, Twitter for BlackBerry is a very basic client and isn’t very demanding in wisdom.

Premium Applications »

I hope none of you folks have to resort to this, but we’re not going to talk down to any applications today. Before we get into this, I must say this has been an interesting day for some interesting applications releasing. Eliza for BlackBerry is an app where you’ll be able to interact with Eliza and receive answers back, almost like having a full conversation. Eliza simulates what a therapist might say to you if you came for psychotherapy.

This application is awesome. But we’re not going to get into how cool it is and end up being responsible for some of you abusers going out tonight imitating cops. BBCopLights is an awesome application that basically turns your BlackBerry into police lights (red and blue flashing) with siren sounds playing. Both the screen and led indicator flash red and blue over and over until you exit the application. Don’t have too much fun with this and please stay out of trouble!

Whatever floats your boat. There have been apps like this in the past, but we thought we’d give you the heads up on this latest one which has just been added to the PocketBerry Store. PleasureBerry is a full blown vibrator application (for her) with 5 different modes of vibration. Click the link below for more info including the free OTA link to download.

As many of you already know by now, RIM discreetly updated BlackBerry Desktop Manager today. We’re not going to generate a whole post on it, as we saw it to be not a big deal. You can grab the update by clicking here. Now I am currently a MacBook user, so seeing that the PC BlackBerry Desktop Manager is following the same footsteps, it doesn’t seem so shocking. As for all of you using PCs, this is pretty big. According to BBNews.pl, this is BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0. The interface looks very user friendly, and I’m sure will encourage more folks to start using the application. The screenshot here makes it look like the new DM is going to be very media oriented which I’m not so big about but as long as we have add/remove apps and backup options, I’m cool with it. It’ll be a matter of time before the app leaks online so stay tuned.

Miscellaneous Thoughts »

We’ve seen people get crazed over their BlackBerry smartphones in the past. In fact, who remembers the BlackBerry Curve 8900 covered in diamonds? That was priced to be about $240,000 as you could order them through this private maker who spends over 350 hours making each one. Or how about the Case-Mate’s crazy but ugly case for the Curve 8300? Adam from CrackBerry posted some pictures of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 covered in 24 carat gold. It’s pretty sexy, but very unnecessary if you ask me. Hit the jump to check out another cool photo of it.
