How would you go about texting it to your closest friends, e-mailing it to your parents, and uploading it to all of the social sites you use so that people could see what happened? mIQ automatically uploads your photos, videos, and status updates to the web, making it easy for you to share with the people you care about..

I love the concept of wireless cloud-based backups. However, I am the type of person that takes data security very seriously and personally, I'd rather pay for a remote backup solution from a reputable vendor than trust a free solution from an unknown vendor with no known track record that at least I'm aware of or any other products available. Assuming this vendor is truly strict with user data confidentiality, then I hope them the best in building a name for themselves.

Ummmm not quite. I consider myself an “average user”. Definitely no CEO.

I never said that the developer of this app has any ill intentions whatsoever. I am just saying I don't play chances with the security of my data. Let me give you an example, my fellow “avg user”…

Let's say that this developer, to compensate for their free service, is using it as a means of collecting pools of e-mail addresses in order to sell off to third party marketers so they can spam you with ads for things. Number one, it wouldn't be nearly the first time it has happened. Number two, it is only one of many many scenarios.

An unknown vendor with no other products available on MobiHand offering a service for free that in order to properly function requires a crap load of resources and $$$? To me, that signifies one of three things: unreliable/unsecure, scam, or a very good and legitimate attempt but not executed properly.

Everyone, if you're going to go with a remote backup solution, something like SmrtGuard (also available in the PocketBerry store) has a proven track record.

Now, just to cover my ass, I AM IN NO WAY SAYING THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT. I AM SIMPLY STATING MY OPINION OF THE SITUATION. If it turns out to be legitimate and reliable, I will gladly eat my own words. And shigity, I'll be ready and waiting to kiss your toes.
