A while back, we let you know about Sling Player coming officially to BlackBerry. At that time, we were using the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 for it. Finally, Sling has extended its compatible devices by adding the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
Features:
- Fully compatible with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and other supported BlackBerry smartphones
- Full control of your home TV and easy access to a wide range of devices and programs
- Support for multiple viewing modes including wide-screen and zoom formats
- High-quality video performance over 3G or WiFi networks
Just as a quick note, if you’re on the road using this, 3G is a must. I’ve experienced endless lag when leaving a 3G network using Sling Player in the past. The application goes for a not so cheap $29.99. Don’t forget, you’ll need the actual Slingbox connected to your home TV for the service to work.
