Elecite has just rolled out a new theme once again.  This one is rather incredible.  If you can tell, it’s unlike any other theme they have released as all the icons, pictures, colors, and effects are all brand spankin’ new here.  We can sit and discuss how the theme works, but you’ll have to see the interactive video for yourselves to get the right idea about it.  Hit the jump below to check out the video on Elecite’s all new theme Blue7.  Otherwise use the link below to check out Blue7 and other Elecite themes.

The last couple weeks have been quite exciting for the BlackBerry Bold 9650.  First we had a leaked launch date of May according to Bank of America employee website for ordering BlackBerry smartphones. Then the device showed up in Sprint order forms. After that, we got confirmation that the device will physically be branded as a Bold.  Next we got leaked live images of a working Bold 9650.  Now we have confirmation of the device arriving in Verizon systems.

We thought it would be over for awhile but spammers are going at it again.  Once again the message circulating is showing up as if it is on behalf of Research In Motion, urging all BlackBerry Messenger users to forward this message to everyone or else all contacts will be lost.  This is allegedly as a result of RIM’s servers to be full at the moment.  Some smart folks have disregarded the message while the other 90% of BlackBerry Messenger users have forwarded it.  So if you get this as a forwarded message, please disregard and do not forward!

  • DISCLAIMER: Dana did not forward this, as she was only inquiring if it was authentic or fraudulent.

QuickLaunch is for sale today at a low price of $2.49.  This is definitely one of my personal favorites as I have created many shortcuts for all my frequent actions via BlackBerry.  For instance, I have my Twitter app, GPS app, and 3 major contacts I call frequently all on my QuickLaunch menu.  You can add any contact, application, or anything else on your BlackBerry (music, photos, etc).  Hit the jump for the full feature list, or just use the link below to check out QuickLaunch today as it’s on sale til midnight.

We’re almost there folks.  Kevin from CrackBerry got some exclusive leaked images of the official BlackBerry Bold 9650.  And yes as promised it is branded as a “Bold.”  This one’s a working model running OS 5.0.0.573, so it’s not a dummy (load off our minds).  A trackpad is visible and it still looks like a Tour even with the Bold branding.  It takes the same battery as the original Tour (obviously), so if any former 9630 users would like to upgrade to this, you’ll have a spare battery.  Where’s the back cover? I’m dying to see a leather back come out of nowhere.  As I mentioned yesterday when we saw the Bold 9650 housing leaked, we’d like to see the leather back cover to stay in sync with the Bold family. A Bold without a leather back cover? That’s like hockey games without fights.

Eric let us know about Skyfire posting some interesting info about Skyfire for BlackBerry and Android.  I’m sure you all remember back when Skyfire 1.0 download did leak and we all had a quick “30 seconds” with the application.  As a result, the CEO put a hold on all Skyfire BlackBerry browsing. Many of us can’t remember since the last time we heard anything about Skyfire as they have been moving quite sluggish with their BlackBerry development.  So on their official blog, they talk about how Skyfire for BlackBerry is pretty much to be put on hold while they’re currently holding their hand higher for the Android device and have the alpha program going with that.  Hit the jump to check out the full notes from Skyfire on the matter.

It looks like OCK have put both of their famous themes on sale through April 11th for only $3.99.  We’ve covered them both here, one of which is BB OS X and the other is uBBuntu.  BB OS X is a theme based on Mac OS X.  Now of course there are many out there that do look like Apple products, but BB OS X gives you a theme experience like you’ve never had before with its hidden menu for customizable shortcuts.  uBBuntu is of course based on the Linux OS Ubuntu.  Being one of my favorite third party themes, uBBuntu gives you plenty of homescreen shortcuts, more than you can even see in the screenshots.  A human sees 6 typically, when in reality there are 22 homescreen shortcuts.  Both of these themes are on sale for only $3.99 through April 11 so catch the sale while it’s around.

We keep getting these subtle hints from RIM about the white BlackBerry Bold 9700 officially coming.  This time, the folks over at BBNews.pl have spotted it in white over at the T-Mobile Netherlands website.  It’ll be exciting to see the white device hit the US, but it looks like we’re last in line so far.
