On the official BlackBerry page for Thailand, RIM has put up the picture of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in both white and black color, but makes no mention of the new color. Ronen from BerryReview found that Nation Multimedia put out a press release saying that the white BlackBerry Bold 9700 is indeed coming to Thailand for about $739 US.  It’s quite random for it to be hitting the streets overseas, and seeing no word on a domestic release yet.  The white Bold is cool, but I don’t think I’d be taken serious walking around with one, what about you guys?

Rumors »

I don’t know how I feel about this.  This obviously isn’t an actual device image, but more of a rendered prototype image which we can’t even vouch for its authenticity.  So according to WJD, this is a BlackBerry Storm 9580, which I don’t know where that model name and number came from to begin with. We’re putting this under Rumors, and not Leaked Content because as we said before, we don’t know anything about this, and the image just looks fishy. What do you guys make out of this?

This “device” very much reminds me of the Nokia “Lipstick” cell phone, which is a small thin device just like this, but did have a keypad to my knowledge.  If RIM is taking this far, then I’m really having a hard time following who they are competing.  With the look of this, they’d be competing with the Samsung Juke if anything.

What a round up of leaked OS updates we have today.  These all came in late last night, as we’re a little late in putting them out to you.  So here’s OS 5.0.0.592 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000, Curve 8900, and Curve 8520.  They are all leaked unofficial versions so download and install at your own risk.  Don’t forget to do your backups.

It looks like Twitter for BlackBerry never officially launched yesterday as we were promised at CTIA that it would.  With that said, here’s the leaked version of the official Twitter client for BlackBerry by RIM ranking at v1.0.0.37.  It isn’t the official final build RIM intended to put out (to our knowledge) but it is the latest.  I saw that a lot of lag has been taken care of, but it still doesn’t seem stable to me.  Use the link below to download OTA.  Special thanks to BBTweeps for putting this one out.
