Training materials, fact sheets, slide shows, introductions, whatever you want to call it.  Verizon employees are all able to check out the BlackBerry Bold 9650 this tutorial provided by Verizon.  The sections included are Target Customers, Key Differentiators, Features and Benefits, Activity: Customer Scenario, and Conclusion.  We have the whole print out, but we will be uploading it as a PDF so you all can see it if you like.  The packet consists of only information we know about the device already, so it’s catering more for the user friendly Verizon employee-hood.  Things discussed are memory capacity, applications such as Skype and Verizon’s latest PTT services, multimedia, etc.  So far we’re stuck on the June 10th date for the Bold’s launch, and it seems pretty promising so far.  Sorry for the sloppy photo above. At least it’s clear that it is a Verizon branded Bold 9650.

BerryCracker is an awesome way to unlock your BlackBerry.  Ehab let me know that Bla1ze put up the application and we thought it’d be good to share with you folks as well.  Traditionally we’re used to having to throw our IMEI numbers into websites, wait for the email back and then input it into your phone in the right sequence.  Now forget all that, and imagining being able to do all of this from an application right on your BlackBerry and have the unlock code instantly sent.  BerryCracker does just that for you.  Key benefits? Let’s say you buy this application, switch BlackBerry smartphones, and need to unlock it again.  Instead of paying money again to unlock, transfer BerryCracker to it (as you bought it already and it’s yours through MobiHand) and unlock your BlackBerry!  Don’t pay twice.

Features:

  • Unlock codes are instantly sent – fully automated process.
  • Unlock your Blackberry in minutes all from the device itself. No need for a PC or cable.
  • Device unlock is permanent – even after OS upgrades and hard resets.
  • Full instructions provided on how to enter unlock codes.

BerryCracker is on sale for only $9.99 through June 4th where it’ll then get bumped back up to $19.99.  Grab your copy today while it’s on sale by using the link below.

It’s about time we get some inside information on the BlackBerry Bold 9650 for Verizon.  Too many of us have been disappointed by its late release, having Sprint ahead of by a few weeks.  Here’s a leaked screenshot found over at CrackBerry showing a June 10th launch.  If rumors are still a go and OS 6.0 (BlackBerry 6) does launch, would it be offered shortly after the release of the Bold 9650? That’s just a shot in the dark but in any case we’re happy the device is finally going to come to Verizon.

Research in Motion, through the BlackBerry Partners Fund, made a strong move into China today by teaming with China Broadband Capital Partners, a group specializing in communications investments in China. BlackBerry Partners Fund will launch an affiliate fund of $100 million with CBCP. The goal of the fund is to explore ways for the Blackberry to tap into rapidly expanding Chinese mobile phone market, and in specific target consumers to whom smartphones would have appeal. The move into the world’s largest cell phone market seems to be the first of its kind.

So it looks like RIM is taking another step forward with the eBay application for BlackBerry.  For me, it’s a heavy for nothing application that really doesn’t do much for me at all.  I don’t say this because I’m not a heavy eBay user, but because the application doesn’t really offer much other than browsing and bidding on items.  Adding seller features is a brilliant idea though.  The way I envisioned it would be given the option to snap away a photo and after hitting menu, seeing the option “Send to my eBay” right under the “Send to Facebook” or other apps you may have.  If we could list auctions right on the BlackBerry, a lot more users would tune in to the application.  It’s not very demanding, nor will it be difficult for the average BlackBerry user to do this either.  If anything it will be a lot easier keeping the picture on the phone and uploading it directly into the application.  According to some tipsters who sent some info to BerryReview, the application should be coming soon so keep an eye out for this bad boy to update sometime soon.  Test Center in App World perhaps?

Before everyone gets confused, the “MySpace style photo” in my opinion is when you turn over your camera and take a picture of yourself (with others too as we see here).  I’m not hating on the idea, but the shot does the need a name and I think it suits it best.  What I am hating is the cheapo skin on his BlackBerry Bold 9000.  I’m not exactly sure how old the photo is and am hoping Fred Durst has went ahead and upgraded his phone by now, as he should be eligible.  So in this picture we see Fred Durst, Snoop Dogg, and some guy I don’t even know snapping a picture together at an event with lots of people around which brings me to question why Fred didn’t bother asking someone to take the photo..?

It’s not the latest of the latest from Elecite, but I had to go back and give it a try since I was looking for a new theme.  Polygon caught my eye for obvious reasons, so I went ahead and tried it out.  Let me tell you, this one interesting theme, unlike any other I’ve seen.  The clean screen with a high resolution polygon pattern underneath is stunning in red over the dark background. Yours eyes are drawn to the design because the time and data information are neatly tucked in the lower corner allowing for a full screen. Embedded in the design are 5 icons with fixed applications inside.  Then you have 6 customizable icons to place your favorite applications.  A grey focus highlights each icon as you scroll through them. Click on the lower icon and your basic instant messaging apps are met with your Browser, Twitter, Facebook, and BBM. The gear icon allows access to profiles, options as well as calculator and tasks. There is also and icon for your phone options and another for media needs. I like this one since I’m always listening to music or “listening” to a movie or tv show at work on my BlackBerry Bold 9700. It gives you fast quick access from your home screen. Elecite gave us a star icon to fully customize with 6 applications – your favorite apps right at your finger tips.
