Rumors are a tough gig to deal with, but as long as they aren’t ever considered anything beyond that, we can bare it just fine.  In the middle of March, the CEO of the company that makes parts for RIM noted in an interview that the BlackBerry “T” is the next BlackBerry to be launched next month.  We talked about the new name “T” and its rumored launch date but heard nothing about the device and certainly not at WES obviously.  If you recall, we did say we wanted to see the BlackBerry T get announced at WES, as it wasn’t so far out of the question in our opinion.  I guess it was too much to expect as RIM only showed us two devices we knew everything about already months before (Pearl 3G, Bold 9650).

Now I’m looking back at this interview and thinking perhaps these manufactured models could very well be later generation prototypes and not so much production units.  Disappointment isn’t all there from my end as I am happy to see it not launch as we saw it in the leaked screenshots of the device.  But then again, seeing the new 9670 clam-shell screenshots made me appreciate this slider BlackBerry a lot more.
