It looks like OtterBox isn’t the only company putting out a breast cancer awareness campaign, as TELUS is also doing the same. TELUS has teamed up with QEII Foundation to launch this campaign which will assist in bringing new breast cancer equipment to Nova Scotia. From May 6th through October 31st, TELUS is donating $25 for each pink BlackBerry Pearl 3G or Curve 8530 sold to the QEII Foundation. This campaign “Go Pink” and is being spread all around Canada according to Kyle from BlackBerry Cool and will assist in funding to: BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation, Alberta Cancer Foundation, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, CancerCare Manitoba, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation in Toronto, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Segal Cancer Center at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital and QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

So what’s the next step? RIM officially announced the BlackBerry Pearl 3G at WES 2010, and no US carriers have claimed the device yet. We just got the word from Engadget that the Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105 have just received FCC approval. So what’s the next step? As always, we wait. And when it comes to RIM, sometimes we wait longer than expected. The Pearl 3G is a GSM device (duh) so anyone rockin’ Sprint or Verizon shouldn’t get so excited for this one anytime soon. As for everyone else, RIM did officially announce a May launch for the device, but with no indication of the which carriers will be getting it. We already know it’s coming to Rogers as we saw the dummy device side by side with the while Bold 9700. Time for AT&T and T-Mobile to step it up already.

Back in January during CES, we were teased about the Craigslist app and finally saw it launch. So what was its biggest downfall for everyone? The app was going for $4.99 at the BlackBerry App World. This wasn’t expected by anyone, and at a premium price like that, folks just weren’t dedicated enough to the service to dish out the money for it. Ronen from BerryReview spotted a freebie in the App Store that does the same thing. So for all you who don’t want to spend money on a Craigslist application, here’s a great free alternative.

Just as a quick note, we’re still getting in the vibe of calling OS 6.0 “BlackBerry 6″ as that’s what RIM wants us all to do. What an exciting weekend it’s been so far. First we get to see a few seconds of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 which did a lot for us including confirming that it is of the Bold series and now we see the hideous 9670 clamshell device in action. This one’s been leaked earlier today by The Cellular Guru. In this video, we get a closer look at the device as it isn’t so teasing (especially since no one wants this thing any way). You get more of the ins and outs of OS 6 which is far better than when Mike Lazaridis officially announced it at WES 2010.

As you all know the BlackBerry Pearl 3G comes in two versions: T9 and SureType. We got the full hands on with both devices during WES 2010, seeing more of what the 9105 T9 version was like as we’ve seen SureType in action before. The experience was well different and brought back memories to days when I had a Nokia as a PDA. We never had a chance to poll this out, but we’d like to hear what you folks feel about the device and whether or not you would consider it as your next upgrade. Tweet us what you think, or drop us a comment below if you’re browsing via computer.

We’ll never call it the BlackBerry Slider or Talladega ever again. It’s a bit of a teaser, but at least we get it in motion rather than some leaked screenshots. Here it is folks. The BlackBerry Bold 9800 in official action brought to you by BGR. The Bold branding is official as we get a quick glimpse of the back where it says “Bold” very clearly. Some are discouraged by the Bold branding now as there really isn’t a requirement to be a Bold anymore since it used to have a leather battery door once upon a time (9000, 9700).

If you’re a fan of Oprah you’re going to have to pay for it, $2.99 to be exact. We got the word from Ronen over at BerryReview that Oprah has her own application now available in App World for $2.99. This should be a freebie in my opinion, but so should other apps such as the 21 “flashlight” apps available out there.

Verizon put out their BOGO sale for quite some time, and the outcomes were quite successful. T-Mobile is next in line with their BOGO deal in efforts to push out smartphones to its customers. So how does this work exactly? It’s simple. Purchase one smartphone (and activate it) or upgrade to a new two-year postpaid contract with the unlimited web package, and you’ll be offered a second smartphone of equal value or less absolutely free. The second line however must also be activated with the unlimited data package. For those unfamiliar with what smartphones qualify, or just don’t know what T-Mobile has to offer as far as smartphones go, some of them include: myTouch 3G, BlackBerry Bold 9700, Samsung Behold II, T-Mobile Sidekick LX, Motorola CLIQ XT with MOTOBLUR and Nokia 5230 Nuron, and much more. Of course there’s the older BlackBerry devices such as the Pearl 8120 (if you can find a T-Mobile store with them still in stock), Curve 8520, and Curve 8320. The deal runs from May 10th through May 23rd, so hurry to your local T-Mobile store to get your buy 1 get 1 free deal on any smartphone.
