Here’s a little different vibe for you all. We all heard about the MMA BlackBerry application by Handmark but it looked like true UFC and overall MMA fans were looking for something more. Kombat Mobile has officially been announced today allowing MMA fighters and other athletes to communicate with fans and other sports enthusiasts. Besides being able to get the latest news and statistics, users will have options to learn more about the athlete in depth. For example, you can follow Josh Koscheck (famous UFC fighter fighting tomorrow night) and see what his daily workout routines are, view exclusive videos, and learn to train like him all within the app. “The combination of our team’s technical expertise, knowledge and friendships in the mma industry, we knew that we would be able to develop an interactive multimedia application that can provide worldwide mma fans with what they want. Our goal is to bridge our client and their fans in ground-breaking ways,” says Muzaffar Abbas, CEO of Kombat Mobile. “All that is required is a PDA and a competitive streak for end-users to really appreciate what we’ve designed.” So when’s this application due to release? According to the press release, Kombat Mobile will be launching July 2010. Stay tuned for more and hit the jump for the full press release.

We noticed the new travel wall charger at WES 2010, and even wrote something up about it showing you guys exactly what it was. As we didn’t get a hands on with the new accessory, we posted what we could through the glass display and crazy lighting going on there. Kevin from CrackBerry got some nice high definition images of the all new charger giving you all a better idea of what to expect. From what we were told, the BlackBerry Pearl 3G will be rockin’ this as well as all future devices after.

Nobody knows what to expect anymore. All this talk about a BlackBerry tablet is giving many such a blurry picture of what to expect exactly. Now I’m not saying you’ll have a perfect thought on it after reading this, but we thought we’d give you more info as we read some interesting stuff on The Street. Some questions that come to mind include: What’s the OS? Can I connect my BlackBerry? How big? How small? Or the biggest of them all, when will it launch?

I’m very seasonal with Twitter for BlackBerry and decide to use it every now and then so I didn’t catch on to this right away. From what the blogs and forums are saying, Twitter for BlackBerry is down and is not letting anyone connect. Those who are already connected have no problem, but once signed out and in attempt to sign in, it just won’t work. There hasn’t been a fix for this yet, and it seems to be going on all morning. What we’re waiting to see is the service just magically turned on again or an application update for it from RIM. I don’t know which one sounds more realistic at the moment. If you’re furious with the downage, there’s a few other alternatives. We’ll throw in the most popular as you all know it: UberTwitter. It’s a free application with lots of features and options to it. Some may prefer it over Twitter for BlackBerry, but I am just putting that out there for those looking to tweet while the app is down. Stay tuned for more as we hear further info on the downage.

Just in from the BlackBerry App World, Hertz has launched a free car booking application. The application will allow you to view any reservation you made before, or even make a whole new one all on your BlackBerry. Their mobile site has been out for quite some time but nothing is better than a solid application that works.

We will soon add WiFi capability and cell tower usage for indoor location tracking.

We haven’t had a good idea of what would be under the hood of this BlackBerry 9670, but it seems like The Cellular Guru has posted some new photos of it showing some 283MB of memory left. I’m not so sure what the grand total would be, but It could be 512MB, but could it be 384MB? I doubt it but as you all know RIM has become very unpredictable lately. Next is the battery. It looks like this 9670 will be sharing the same battery as our new friendly Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105. As Bla1ze suggests, this looks to be part of the next generation in the Bold family. I’m not so sure how i feel about that, but it’s definitely one of those devices you hate from the beginning and perhaps passion may be grown moments later on.
