I haven’t seen anything come up from my end here, but lots of folks are reporting that the function is there now.  BGR reports it being live while others such as BerryReview are saying it hasn’t reached out to everyone yet. Is RIM slowly migrating all its BIS users to have the functionality? It looks like it is so far, but I’m at the edge of my seat waiting for it reach my BlackBerry already.  Have any of you been blessed with the Gmail two way sync yet?

During WES last week, we went on a little tour with Mike Kurkup from RIM who pointed out some great booths to visit, and Fixmo was one of the first he brought up.I like to call this one the missing link in BlackBerry while Fixmo says it “makes your smartphone smarter” which I can’t disagree with either.  Last week at WES, we stopped by their booth to get a better idea on the application as both myself and Mac haven’t personally tried it out until now.  The application has so many components to it including undelete, speed test, forward/reply, battery watch, memory monitor, and more.  Hit the jump for the full list of what Fixmo Tools consists of as well as a link to read more about it and purchase link.

Another leak from LouiV over at BBLeaks has emerged.  This one’s for the BlackBerry Curve 8530, which hasn’t been getting so much leakage lately.  As it is a leaked OS, download and install at your own risk.  Also as a quick note, we’ve received one too many emails over the past weekend of OS update disasters losing your data, so we urge you once again to do a full backup!

For all those who just weren’t satisfied with 5.0.0.643, here’s another from the latest leaked OS for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.  Some of you may still be winded out by doing the last update, but in case you didn’t or aren’t satisfied now with what you currently have, you can certainly give this one a shot.  Keep in mind it is leaked so download and install at your own risk.

Earlier today, I was showing a friend the BlackBerry Bold 9650, and came across The Black Eyed Peas END World Tour 2010 page.  Basically, it lets you watch behind the scenes, “making of” videos, and tour footage of the awesome band that will.i.am is part of (he rocked out nice at WES from what Mac tells me).  Also, be sure to check out the Dipdive records app for BlackBerry as well which is free at App World.  The app is really cool giving you news, videos, and pictures of the band (also within their tour).

The idea was always there in our minds, but we never paid so much mind to it actually happening one day.  We asked you all what you thought about a BlackBerry tablet when the iPad was announced, and  not everyone was so convinced as it was a 50/50 vote.  For all you who thought that RIM was going to give up in its head to head battle with Apple, you’re wrong.  The folks over at BBLeaks received some inside information indicating that a BlackBerry tablet is in the making.  After seeing the BlackBerry 6 commercial, we see this being somewhat a good idea as RIM has made their OS very touchscreen-friendly.  The only confirmed details on this new piece are:

  • It’s thinner and smaller than the Apple iPad
  • Codename: BlackPad
  • Full BlackBerry OS compatibility & functionality (no word on what version yet)

Note that the image above is not real and is just a sketch based off of the Apple iPad.  As for a solid release date? It’ll be too hard to determine with RIM as our expectations at WES 2010 were so high and we were let down a bit with the lack of announcements.  Perhaps we’ll see it in WES 2011 next May.
