OtterBox is one of my personal favorite cases for BlackBerry, especially the Commuter. It looks like the BlackBerry Pearl 3G just got a head start in accessories. OtterBox has officially launched the Commuter series line for Pearl 3G in black color as well as the pink/white Strength case. Their prices as always stay at $34.95 but is worth every penny for these bad boys. If you’re one of those lucky folks who rock a Pearl 3G, definitely grab an OtterBox.

Talk about getting things really backwards. Sprint hasn’t launched the BlackBerry Bold 9650, but we just got a tip from our Sprint insiders that the OS is officially out. This doesn’t seem to beta and we’ve been told that this is the official OS out of box that we’ll be seeing. That all seems a bit iffy, especially with the earlier leaks that showed higher OS versions for the Bold 9650. But if you do have one now, check out this official 5.0.0.621 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 by Sprint.

Everyone goes bananas when asked for their pin. Sure there are many cool tips and tricks to get it including writing “mypin” in text field. What’s My is a cool app that gives you your phone number, PIN, and IMEI number. If you switch through BlackBerry devices as much as me, then you definitely will find this handy. The application is very light on your BlackBerry so don’t worry about the heavy load we’ve been seeing in a lot of apps recently.

For all you Bell subscribers, many of you have received notices in the mail according to Bla1ze. These “notices” or flyers from Bell came out saying that the BlackBerry Pearl 3G is now available for purchase. Of course when calling in regards to the matter, customer service states that the ad is wrong and pretty much is a mistake on their end. Stores haven’t received any shipment of the device yet and customer service reps are telling their customers to call back next week for an update. We don’t know how accurate customer service can be, but it is worth a shot. So if you’re currently a Bell customer and are waiting for the Pearl 3G to finally arrive, feel free to contact the carrier next week.

We were getting a bit worried seeing that Sprint officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9650 where Verizon just kind of stayed quiet and gave us much of nothing. None of us were doubting its launch but delays can always happen right? BGR just got some nice images showing that the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is coming soon to Verizon. No dates set, just a bunch of posters with specs we already know posted. So for all you who were in fear at Verizon’s modest behavior lately on the Bold 9650, keep your head high as it’s coming your way soon.

This time, it isn’t the iBerry theme we’re pushing out. I guess the Palm Pre has some clean looking icons and a smooth layout. I don’t want anything to do with their OS of course, but I did come across BerryPre over at our app store. BerryPre is a Palm Pre based theme allowing you to keep your awesome BlackBerry OS (obviously) but with a different cool skin just like the Palm Pre. I have played with this bad boy a few times and I always thought the icons and layout were pretty cool. Apparently the theme has been out for some time now and I just came across it as one of the recently updated themes. BerryPre is on sale until May 15 for only $4.99. After that it goes up a buck to $5.99.

This became a big debate over at WES as I had some in depth discussions with Luis from BerryReview and Isaac from CrackBerry about which devices do deserve and should get BlackBerry 6 (OS 6.0). So as a result, we would like to hear what you folks think. Keep in mind we’re looking at already released devices and are excluding the Bold 9650, Pearl 3G, Bold 9800, and the hideous clamshell 9670 because we know they’re getting it by default. Try not to vote on a device just because you own it at the moment, be realistic! If you’re browsing via BlackBerry, tweet us your response, otherwise just plug in your votes above.
