Buzzd v3 Rolls Out for BlackBerry – Enhanced Facebook & Twitter Integration & More

Buzzd, a New York corporation focusing on location-based services, announced the release today of a significant update to their popular BlackBerry application. The app, also called Buzzd, collects data on venues from many different social networks and aggregates activity on events occurring in real-time at different locations. The app already receives 500,000 check-ins every day, and should see an uptick with the update.

Buzzd seems like a valuable aid in keeping up with important events in an area as well as knowing the activities of friends in the area. The buzzdmeter keeps up with generally popular locations while specialized functions also allow buzzd to inform the user of events important in his or her social circle. Buzzd also allows for the instant posting of reviews on Twitter or Facebook. Buzzd is also being featured in BlackBerry App World this week, so you’ll be able to easily locate it. New Features:

Enhancements to the “buzzdmeter,” which now tracks the most popular venues (“buzzing places”) from the aforementioned social networks over the last 6 hours.
Users can now find their Facebook friends and Twitter followers on buzzd as well as simultaneously post their buzzd ratings to their Facebook wall and/or Twitter feed.
Users can see what their friends are up to in the new “feed” section
A complete redesign of the application’s interface
