We all saw the BlackBerry 8910 images leak out back in January for the first time.  Who remembers seeing  seeing the 8910 at CES?  Apparently Case-Mate had put it out on display by accident for those who don’t remember.  Even leaked OS versions for the 8910 have surfaced before in the past.  Our friends over at BBNews.pl spotted that RIM has released the BlackBerry 8910 simulator, and as you all know the device hasn’t even been officially announced yet.  The simulator works in a 8900 housing with the trackball and everything not making it so exciting.  But of course the software and OS is very well for the 8910.  Head over to the BlackBerry Developers Blog to download and check out other resources they released yesterday.

So will we be seeing a BlackBerry 8910 coming soon?  I think theme building for the 9100 should come first, but that’s just my opinion.  The 8910 seems to be the next generation version of the 8900 which is also expected to be running EDGE and not 3G.  I don’t think that’s going to fly so well, especially with the 9300 launching – there seems to be no reason to reside to EDGE.

The other thing we don’t know is which carrier will rock it? We were already tipped that the 3G version of the 8520 was launching for T-Mobile, which we believe is the 9300 (obviously), so perhaps AT&T will take on this 8910.  I just don’t see a carrier taking on both devices as it seems to be quite a waste.  Those looking for a basic and cheap BlackBerry would go for the Curve 9300.  Those looking for a little more luxury and a camera flash will go to the very affordable Bold 9700.  Where does the 8910 fall?
