RIM holding Mystery Event on August 3rd with AT&T – Unveiling BlackBerry 9800?

Could it be? It looks like the top of the flyer has both the BlackBerry and AT&T logo.  What are we expecting from AT&T soon? Perhaps the BlackBerry 9800 Slider anyone? Although there have been small rumors on the Pearl 9100 coming to AT&T, we haven’t had anything on that other than a AT&T branded bezel for sale.  The Pearl is not the least bit going to be part of the event, as it already had its hall of fame at WES this year.  This right here seems focused more on OS 6.0 and the 9800.  Last we heard, the rumored launch date is August 15th for AT&T to receive the 9800.  With the event being held on August 3rd which is not too far from the 15th, we’re going to go ahead and say RIM will indeed be unveiling the BlackBerry 9800 Slider and AT&T will then announce its available launch date perhaps.  There’s no doubt in our minds at this point.

So the mystery event has to be the BlackBerry Slider 9800 in my opinion for obvious reasons.  A lot of people are going to be there it looks like as many blogs are posting all about it.  We’ll be there live in NY at the event along with some other websites including BerryReview, CrackBerry, BGR, Engadget, and many other online publications.  Stay tuned for more.
