And here goes another. The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is going to get passed around to carriers left and right, just like the 8520 did around the world. LouiV from BBLeaks spotted this spreadsheet from Vodafone UK showing that it will be hitting the carrier soon, rumored as Q3 along with Rogers Wireless. We’ll be seeing OS 5.0.0.832 stock out of the box on this one as it says on the spreadsheet. That’s not much news, but it does tell you that it will not be with OS 6.0 from day 1 (I’m sure no one was thinking it would any way).

Deal or No Deal is now available for BlackBerry. If you’ve played the PC games (and lottery tickets perhaps) then maybe this is a good alternative to all that. Ehab let me know that BlackBerry Cool found this over at the app store, so we had to share it with you guys and let you know about its availability. The game is just like the game show but of course more 2D-ish. It’s a lot of fun to play if you enjoyed the show, but I would of liked to see more animations and such for this one. Open GL device owners could of gotten something a little more here! Any way, it’s only $2.99 to purchase as a sale price running through August 31st where it’ll then go up a dollar.

So now carriers are getting in on the new BlackBerry Curve 9300. Yesterday we saw a flyer from Bell but they referred to it as the Curve 3G while Rogers Wireless is calling it the Curve 9300 still. Colors will be exclusive according to CrackBerry as it will come in violet and gray. The rumored launch time is Q3 so the ball should be rolling quite soon. Any one up for Curve 3G?

It looks accurate to me. Based on the last specs we got on the BlackBerry Storm 3, it was to be the same body as the Storm 2, but more under the hood of course. The specs on the slide seem to pretty much match up, making us believe that this is the BlackBerry Storm 3 indeed. It’s a bit fuzzy but the text is pretty clear that it says “Odin Refresh.” The specs listed in this slide are:
- New refreshed UI (BlackBerry 6)
- Webkit Browser
- 512MB up to 32GB SD card
- 5MP camera with updated UI
- World Edition
- WiFi 802.11n
- 3G Mobile Hotspot – coming soon
At the moment, 3G mobile hotspotting seems to be popular with Verizon as they are now pushing it mostly on the Palm devices that no one wants. Adding the feature to the BlackBerry is something we’ve wanted for a very long time.
So what do you think? Is this the new Storm 3 which is now known as the Torch? I think so. How about the BlackBerry 9800 Slider? It seems a bit confusing at the moment but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Torch brand took on all touchscreen BlackBerry devices. The image wasn’t clear at first and looked like it said “Torch” when in reality it said “Touch.” Sorry folks!

For a device that not many are excited for, there’s been tons of coverage on it. The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is heading over to the carrier Bell. There’s no exact date, but it looks like it is coming soon as this is the first official carrier flyer we see with the 9300. An interesting thing to notice is that the Curve 9300 is being branded as the Curve 3G by Bell. Perhaps will see this become the new traded name as the Pearl 9100/9105 is known as the Pearl 3G.

Not breaking news here, but more and more mentions of BlackBerry 6 keep coming up. The last teaser commercial we saw said BlackBerry 6 aka OS 6.0 is “coming soon” which seems to general for us Berry users waiting for it. RIM is doing its fair share promoting it at the moment now on Twitter with the status they put up moments ago. It looks like the search function is a pretty big deal in OS 6.0 as we’ve seen in the previews and as RIM is promoting. When typing something in the search bar on the new OS, we’ll be able to have it search our entire BlackBerry including contacts, messages, the internet, and even social networks you have on. Let’s just hope it’s as snappy as we see it in the previews as most leaked videos have shown mainly the Webkit browsing functions.

Now most BlackBerry devices do already have a GPS receiver built in, but GPS signal isn’t always there. That’s why RIM’s new introduced geolocation feature is a great one because it does not require GPS. So what’s the point? This is a great thing developers can now implement in their applications. The data provided via Geolocation is very snappy and of course isn’t as specific as GPS info is either. It is great to have for apps that want to let you know what’s around you (Poynt, Foursquare, etc). When the GPS is back in coverage again, the app can then get more detail info if need be.
Features:
- Reverse geocoding capabilities enable applications to convert a user’s latitude and longitude to an address
- Integration with BlackBerry Maps Service offers a variety of app features, ranging from navigation directions to POI recommendations. BlackBerry Maps Service compliments Locate Service by providing map displays that can be invoked or embedded to indicate a user’s location

Here’s a good question. Will the BlackBerry tablet have BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on it at all? Will it have a PIN registered to the device? Forwarding service from your Berry to your tablet? Who knows, but I’d like to. We want to hear what you think will come to this device and how far exactly RIM will take it. Feel free to cast your vote through our poll embedded here, drop us a comment below, or on Twitter!
