I believe it. According to Salomondrin, the BlackBerry 9800 Slider is currently being made in white as well. Black and white are very trendy colors these days with BlackBerry, as the Bold 9700 got both flavors and the Curve 8500 series got it in many. Who’s up for it? I never admired the white Berry, but after reviewing the white BlackBerry Bold 9700, I fell in love with it and became a full time user on it leaving my black one behind. I think I’ll do the same when the 9800 comes out as well. So there’s still no confirmation on this 9800 coming in white, but that’s what the confirmed rumor says for now. We’ll just have to wait for some more leakage or perhaps official images from RIM or AT&T.

Themes, themes, themes. It’s the ongoing BlackBerry battle we have with ourselves. We find ourselves sometimes swamped with how much money has been spent on finding that perfect theme. Usually themes are on average between $4-7, which can stack you up if you haven’t found what you’re looking for just yet. On a brighter note, themes go on sale. I’ve seen 99 cents before as a sale item, but can’t say 84 cents ever rings a bell. Black out is a pretty simple theme with all uniform white icons, all styled the same way. All applications get dimmed black so that’s where the name “Black out” comes from. There’s no crazy effects to this one at all, but if you feel the need to switch up your themes a bit, definitely check it out as it’ll only cost you 84 cents.

We knew that already. Of course the BlackBerry Bold 9650 replaced the Tour 9630 but we had to see it in clear ink that it was going and never coming back. There’s a few other devices on the list, but the Tour is the only Berry on there. So there you have it. The Tour 9630 is no more. Anyone caring for it?

Here’s a quick how to video I came across on the BlackBerry YouTube channel that a lot of you will come handy. Being a heavy Gmail user, I did not realize how many people were still stuck on Hotmail. So this video shows you how to revalidate your Hotmail account for those who are just in confusion when that comes up every so often. I personally say go Gmail but at the same time I understand that having email accounts for a long time that all your other friends, colleagues, and coworkers is very important.

Yes, we’re still going with our small collections of categorized free applications and games just to clear that out of the way. Since we started posting up bundles of freebies, we’ve been getting more requests to put up more games. As these games may work on other BlackBerry devices, they for sure work on the Bold 9700 as I have tested it already and really don’t want to go through each other device I own one by one to figure out compatibilities. But if you do find it working for other devices, drop us a line and let us know.

How far are we from launch now? Once we see parts popping up on True Supplier, we start feeling closer to launch date of the device. Last week we spotted an AT&T bottom bezel for the Pearl 9100 which was a huge shocker for many. In addition we saw the 9670 Clamshell keyboard up for sale as well. Today’s find seems to be a lot better as it’s the 9800 Slider which I think more folks are excited to see now more than any other device in the making or coming soon. Three different accessories were spotted. First it’s the keyboard. Now as you know the design of the 9800, the keyboard and call/end with menu/back buttons is separated. So the keyboard does indeed come separate from the other keys as seen in the photo. Next in line is the desk charging dock, one of my favorite accessories. It says clearly that it is for the 9800 Slider and it pretty much looks the same as other charging docks that we’ve seen in the past. Lastly is the leather pouch which we see already available for other BlackBerry devices at the moment. The one pictured is for the Bold 9700, and we’re going to assume the 9800 pouch may just be the same as another device that just so happens to fit in the same pouch due its relative dimension. All in all, the keyboard being available online is an exciting find and we definitely are excited to see that the device is indeed coming soon.
