Want to save more than one item on your clipboard when copying and pasting? A new app is around that might help you with that. I haven’t tried this yet, but really don’t have a need for it personally either. Some Berry users tend to copy and paste a lot where this will come handy.
Features:
- new systemwide menu item
- history of your clipboard items
- copy&paste multiple snippets in one step
- view the content of your clipboard
- complete list persists reboot
- works across multiple applications
- Remark: Does not have a program icon, it simply hooks into your menu
Multiclipboard isn’t a huge investment as it’s only 99 cents to purchase. As mentioned in the features, it’s not a physical application but more of a hook onto your menu.

BBTweet Media Player is good for those looking to share what songs they’re listening to via Twitter. It’s a very basic and simple media player as it is still in beta. In fact, it’s only about 100k to download so don’t worry about it being a memory hog. Follow up with @bbtweetmedia for updates on the app as well. Hit the link below to download today.

UPDATE: Link appears to be down and over bandwidth at the moment, we’ll be sure to post up a working link once received. If any of you come across a link, drop us a line.
Here’s a moment many have been waiting for, but before too many of you get excited, this is a BETA version of Facebook for BlackBerry v1.8.0.31. So far the changes we know of here are faster load times, video uploading, and the replacement of BIS-E notifications with BlackBerry Push APIs instead. Sorry, no Facebook chat yet. To download and use the application successfully, follow these quick instructrions:
- 1. Make sure you have the latest official version of Facebook for BlackBerry installed from blackberry.com/facebook.
- 2. Download the Facebook beta app OTA from here.
- 3. When the download is finished and you are prompted to reboot, don’t.
- 4. Press the red call button to escape to the homescreen.
- 5. Go your Facebook app icon and click it.
- 6. Accept the terms and conditions at the bottom and go into the app.
- 7. When the app is running open the menu and select options then logout.
- 8. Close and open up the app again and input your login credentials to access Facebook.
- 9. Reboot (battery pull) your BlackBerry after the Facebook app fully loads.
- 10. When up and running access the Facebook app again. It should now be version 1.8.0.31 without a keycode!
So once again, this is a leaked beta. That means download and install at your own risk. I personally haven’t tried this myself so let us know what you see with this version. Thanks to BlackBerry Cool for putting this one out.

Rumors »

These are all rumors so far and based on speculation by analysts, so before we take this in to be factual, let’s put it out there that anything is possible. I read an interesting article on Electronicsta talking about CDMA BlackBerry 6 aka OS 6.0 devices not shipping out until 2011 as they are a bit further behind in terms of beta testing. Analysts say that CDMA testing is about 3 to 6 months behind the GSM device testing, which does leave us with the BlackBerry 9800 Slider. With all the rumors circulating, we should be seeing this 9800 live in action via AT&T no later than the end of September. As far as CDMA devices go, we’ve seen the very disturbing Clamshell 9670 but nothing else at the moment.

Here’s a new free application in the PocketBerry Store we thought you’d want to see. It basically pinpoints your caller’s location by the city and state as the description says so. iCaller uses BlackBerry Maps to find the location, which is available in every BlackBerry any way. Best of all it is free, so it doesn’t hurt to try out.
How does iCaller Location work?
It’s very simple, on all incoming calls the application looks up the area code from the local database and displays city and state on the incoming call phone screen; or send city and state to Blackberry’s Maps to pinpoint location automatically.
The application uses actual and valid 443,435 NPA/NXX combinations in the North American Numbering Plan.

We can’t be too far from launch can we? RIM has just put out the second BlackBerry 6 preview, and I’m really liking this one. Our first tease was at WES 2010, where Mike Lazaridis showed it to us during the keynote, which didn’t satisfy many and showed itself to be more of a Black Eyed Peas commercial than it did a BlackBerry 6 one. Something nice and new to see is the revamped on-screen keyboard which is obviously for touch screen units only. Will we be seeing this from the very beginning launch of OS 6.0? According to the Slider 9800 previews, the keyboard looks pretty identical to the Storm 1 and 2. We’ll keep this short and sweet but in this video we see more screenshots of what to expect from BlackBerry 6 aka OS 6.0 along with some great music selection from RIM. Enjoy this one guys!
New Features in BlackBerry 6:
- redesigned home screen
- universal search
- context-sensitive pop-up menus
- revamped BlackBerry Browser powered by WebKit
- new applications like Social Feeds (which integrates all your news and social networks into one destination) and more

Leaked Content »

I stumbled across an interesting post on Cnet where some details have been leaked out by analysts on this new BlackBerry Tablet aka BlackPad we keep hearing about. This is what we make out of the tablet by RIM so far:
- 1GHz Armada 610 Processor
- 1080p Video Playback
- 16MP camera captures
- 7 inch screen
- Back & Front Facing Camera
All of these details sound good enough to make me want to drop my iPad. Not yet though. Besides specs on the unit, there’s other things we need to see work magical such as a functional and easy application store. We assume a variation of BlackBerry App World will be on it, but hopefully there will be more enhancements to it and developers get going with making apps early on.
