It’s a pretty cool and straight forward application.  My-Mobile allows you to send and receive texts messages via computer using the phone number on your BlackBerry.  There’s all sorts of free SMS services out in the wild but this one is unique because you can use your current phone number and not use a random generic one.  This works great when arguing with the girlfriend over text messages or just having lengthy convos where a full sized QWERTY keyboard seems savvy.

I’m lost and I hope someone can shed the light and find out what this application is exactly.  To buy it, it’s $1000 and is called “So Rich.”  The description of the item says “no need to say anything.”  This has me laughing but also concerned as to what the approval process is for applications is in the app store.  Drop us a line and let us know what you think.

We can’t see the branding as it is cut off on the bottom, but I don’t expect it to be branded any way as these seem to be just test units from RIM.  In any case this BlackBerry Bold 9780 is running BlackBerry 6 OS on Rogers Wireless as seen on the screen.  There’s word around for T-Mobile and AT&T, but you never really know where it will land or when as AT&T just got a Torch and T-Mobile will be getting a new Curve in a few more days.  That doesn’t mean it’ll never come out for the carriers but I doubt they would come out this soon but perhaps we’ll see something before Christmas.  One more image after the jump!

For those unaware, Gowalla acts like another Foursquare where you go around places, check in, collect reward points and get some sort of recognition in places you check in frequently (just like Foursquare mayorships).  Gowalla for BlackBerry has just updated to v1.0 officially now with some nice new improvements.  In this build that came out over the weekend improvements were made to:

  • Trips
  • Items
  • Take and post photos
  • Ability to post threaded comments

Here’s another round of the BlackBerry Curve 8980 or “Atlas” as it has been spotted to be in the past.  It looks identical to a BlackBerry Bold 9700, just with a Curve keyboard.  I’m having a hard time understanding this device with all the whens and ifs about it.  It’s rocking a 3.2MP camera for instance and 256MB last time we checked, so when’s it coming out (if it ever does)?  Perhaps we’ll be seeing hit China Mobile exclusively to replace the not so hot Curve 8910.  Continue reading for the full image gallery.

Today’s leak goes out to the new BlackBerry Curve 9300 (3G) which has had quite some coverage over the past few days with T-Mobile releasing it soon and in two pretty hot colors.  It’s not BlackBerry 6 OS just yet, but it has to come sooner or later.  Here’s OS 5.0.0.912 for only the Curve 9300, leaked of course so download at your own risk!  Here’s a few mirrors below in case one or more go dead or just become really sluggish downloading

Skype for BlackBerry launched exclusively to Verizon customers a few months back, but hasn’t had any updates since.  It looks like a version is in testing at the moment addressing some of the bug issues and “dropped” calls users were having.  So here’s Skype v1.0.5.0 beta for Verizon BlackBerry smartphones.  It won’t work on other carrier devices so don’t even bother.  It’s not an over the air download, so you’ll have to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

We saw these originally back at WES this year, and were told that all future BlackBerry smartphones would come with them right out of the box.  The redesigned BlackBerry charger is a small wedge that fits nicely in wall with a USB port on it allowing you to insert your USB cable right inside which will charge to your BlackBerry.  It works for all BlackBerry models so if you are in need of a new charger, upgrade to the latest at a low price of only $14.95.

As you all know by now, BlackBerry App World got a nice face lift in its 2.0 update.  Not only that, but prices for applications now start at 99 cents rather that $2.99.  We want to know if you’ve been using BlackBerry App World more now with the better user interface and cheaper apps available.  Drop us a tweet, comment, or cast a vote in our poll above.
