We’ve seen a lot of action this year with data plan prices getting dropped and shifted.  Something I noticed is that prepaid plans are starting to get popular out here in the “west” as Asian and Europe have been on such plans for a while.  Also, it seems as though BlackBerry plans are starting to get cheaper.  This is a new approach we see where Rogers has put together a bundled minutes with data pay as you go package for its customers.  We got the word from IntoMobile that Rogers has adjusted its BlackBerry plans.  The idea resembles AT&T’s similar service where you pick a plan and pay as you go but only this caters specifically to BlackBerry with all services combined.

With Rogers, the plans start s low as $40.  Just to cap out the general specifics, for $40 you get the BlackBerry Email plan, then another BlackBerry Email plan follows at $55 which offers free nights and weekends.  Next you have the BlackBerry Social plan for $40 as well where it does not provide unlimited emailing, but unlimited social networking through Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and all other apps.  With the $55 BlackBerry Social plan you get all that plus free nights and weekends.  Click the image above to enlarge.
