We haven’t been so bothered with this issue, but I’ve came across it on Twitter a few times seeing people rant about it. Mauricio from BBRocks spotted a solution from the BlackBerry Technical Solutions Center which means yes, RIM does know about it and has put up a solution. Now many of you may be upset about this but it looks like the only solution right now is to make sure you have the “latest, legally approved” OS installed on your BlackBerry. So those of you on some old leaks or older OS in general – try updating and see if your BBM icon remains.
So if you need to update, head over to our OS page and select your carrier following by the device you own to see what’s the latest.
