The BlackBerry Curve 3G has arrived to Rogers Wireless retail stores all over Canada. We know there’s not much hype or room for excitement on this one because it’s just another Curve and we have bigger and better devices out now such as the Torch 9800. As a quick overview, the Curve 3G will be rockin’ OS 5.0.0.822 out of box, without App World installed as we’re hearing, but RIM may have gotten a deal to install it on Rogers BlackBerry smartphones now. From the look of it, the box is small and sleek just like the Torch 9800 and Pearl 3G. Yes, expect the new designed charger with one USB cable inside.

It looks likes 1 Sale a Day put up a one day sale for $5 Bluetooth headsets. I’m not going to go off saying this is the best and greatest, but it is only 5 bucks in the end of the day. All items from their site run you $5 shipping so you’ll pay 10 total in the end. The brand is TrueBlue, a brand I haven’t heard of before, but I guess you can’t go wrong with cheap Bluetooth headsets.

As SmartWifi is really popular BlackBerry application I figured I’d give you all the heads up that it is today’s App Deal of the Day. For those who don’t know about this app by now, SmartWiFi is a utility that remembers where you usually pick up WiFi allowing you to keep it disabled everywhere else to save battery since it consumes a lot during that action. So let’s say you have an active WiFi network at work and home. SmartWiFi will make sure to turn on your WiFi in those two locations as it uses your cell tower system to trigger down where you had it working. Still confused? Watch the video above!
Features:
- Saves battery by turning off WiFi when not needed.
- Remembers the WiFi locations you use.
- Up to 100 WiFi locations supported!
- Powers WiFi back on when you are back at WiFi coverage.
- Saves battery by avoiding your device to constantly check for available WiFi hotspots.
- Displays useful information: BSSID, SSID, Data Rate, Radio Band and Signal Level.
- Supported mobile devices: GSM / GPRS, CDMA and iDEN.

While looking at BlackBerry 6 before even trying it, the Frequent tab fascinated me. I saw it as it being all my most used applications featured there meaning I won’t have to keep rearranging icons and stuff. It’s been good lately, but I realized as I used some other apps that they would appear too fast in the Frequent tab. For example, I was giving the Sonic 2 game a try late last night and then tried it once more this morning finding it pretty high up on my Frequent tab. At that point it came to my knowledge that the Frequent tab was more like “Last Used Apps” since all it really takes is opening something up 1 to 2 times for it to show up there.

A few days ago, we told you about the previous and next keyboard shortcuts and how they were flipped around. We saw this as a mistake from RIM’s part, but it looks like it has been turned around as they said in the knowledge base article that this was done on purpose! The last statement in additional notes is “This is the intended functionality for BlackBerry Device Software 6.0.”

We saw this commercial during the BlackBerry Torch 9800 event last week, and took a not-so-good recording of it, so we decided to wait for the official HD one to pop up from either AT&T or RIM, and it finally has a whole week later! Most of you saw this commercial on other blogs already, but this is the official HD one
Enjoy!
