It’s a great time to see Foursquare update as we are at DEVCON and the application seems to be really trendy around here.  So Foursquare for BlackBerry got a nice update to v1.9.5 addressing some common issues but also some great additions such as push notifications.  Another thing I was disappointed with was how it wasnt very “touchscreen friendly” on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, but it was never a huge deal.  That also has been changed up with UI improvements to enhance touchscreen experience.  Hit the jump for a full change log along with the OTA download link.

• Faster User and Venue Screens – Now foursquare loads user and venue data as it gets downloaded, allowing you to view a user profile instantly without having to wait for all the data at once.
• Improved Battery Life – With true push notifications enabled and a few additional tweaks, battery life continues to improve.
• UI Improvements for Touch – Additionally we’ve focused on the experience for BlackBerry touch users. Improving the menu system and making small changes throughout the application
