Just a quick reminder as we weren’t clear about it this weekend, the AT&T BlackBerry Curve 9300 will be rolling out on October 3rd along with the BlackBerry Pearl 3G. That was the rumor, and the flyers indicate the rumor to be true, so we’ll be sticking by it for now. Both are BlackBerry 6 compatible, and cheap in price. Which will you go for?

Just as we were expecting, the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 was getting another BlackBerry 6 OS leak, and it looks like the time has come. Earlier we had the BlackBerry Bold 9650 get the same version and now Curve 3G 9330 takes its toll on the same 6.0.0.222 version.

This is the first BlackBerry 6 leak for a device that has been around for a bit which some (and hopefully many for this case) currently have. It’s not exactly the Bold 9700, but the Bold 9650 has gained its popularity in the US with Sprint and Verizon Wireless. In any case this is the first leak for BlackBerry 6 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 – it’s pretty big. It’s version 6.0.0.222. Download and install at your own risk. Let us know your outcomes if you decide to.

Well we saw spare part bezels for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G branded “AT&T” but it was questionable as to whether or not it was OEM. Here we see some proof surface from Engadget showing that the BlackBerry Pearl 3G is finally coming. We got to see this device first hand at WES 2010 and we’re just so surprised AT&T took this long to release it. It has also been rumored that the BlackBerry Curve 3G for AT&T will also be launching the same day.
Back to the Pearl, we assume it’s going to be the 9100 SureType edition as the “T9″ has been marketed more towards Europe as we had guessed to begin with. T9 is pretty much dead in the US but a lot of those LG and Nokia users abroad are still stuck on it, so this Pearl 9105 does cater well to it, while the 9100 satisfies our itch.

Here’s something I glanced at a few days ago and completely forgot about but was completely reminded with this article from BlackBerry. AT&T has an address book backup for BlackBerry 6 OS which I see is handy for the time being until BlackBerry Protect is officially launched to everyone. All you have to do is create an account at addressbook.att.net and from there you can have your contacts added, edited, and obviously viewed right on the web. All your data is then saved on AT&T’s network so if you ever lose or brick your Berry, you can wirelessly recover at any time. Here are couple features:
- Automatic Backup: Your contacts on a compatible AT&T mobile phone are backed up to your AT&T Address Book, and changes you make are automatically saved.
- Online Access: Conveniently access, manage, and text message your contacts from a computer.
So as mentioned above, head over to addressbook.att.net and start backing up your contacts.

Here’s another carrier that’s rockin’ the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 – SaskTel. Pricing is $50 on a 3 year strings attached or $375 with none at all. The device is available in both Graphite and Fuchsia, but I suggest going for the bright if you’re looking to show it off. A quick glance at the specs:
- 2MP Camera
- Built-in WiFi & GPS
- BlackBerry 6 Ready
- 320 x 240 Resolution on 2.4 inch display

The Jawbone ICON has been out for quite awhile now and I have to admit that I did not give it a solid chance up until now. So I came up with a small list of reasons you should buy one.
There’s a BlackBerry application for it.
- The Jawbone application allows you to see your battery level of the headset right on your BlackBerry homescreen. Having it is really convenient as Bluetooth headsets don’t have screens and you’d have to voice command for your battery level with any other headset.
Audio Apps allow you to change the automated voice in the Jawbone headset.
- You can download different voices right to your Jawbone via USB with the PC/Mac plugin on the Jawbone MyTalk website. Voices include: The Bombshell who sounds sexy, The Rogue who is fierce, The Thinker who sounds smart, The Catch who talks flirty, and more. They take minutes to upload to your headset and they’re all free. You can even change to other languages including French, German, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

I’m not surprised here at all. We had two OS leaks of 6.0 for the BlackBerry Curve 3G, and the device did officially launch for Verizon, so it was bound to happen. Here’s a first look of what BlackBerry 6 OS looks like on a BlackBerry Curve 3G. It doesn’t look so bad although we all know how low the screen resolution is. I think once these bad boys come with BlackBerry 6 right out of the box, potential customers who thought of leaving BlackBerry or were hesitant to join in would have a better hands on experience here and the device will then sell itself.

FingerSeizure is a freebie simple game that measures how fast you can click. It’s good for competing with friends, or in my case, download before flying out to Cali for DEVCON and challenge Ehab for six hours on flight. In any case, you’ll find a good scenerio to flex some muscle against your friends with this.

Themes »

This is a great Deal of the Day special – not because the theme is popular and hot, but because the price is so cheap, and it’s 86% off instantly for today only. Real iBerry Blocks is an iPhone theme for BlackBerry and is among one of the most popular themes in our app store. It’s compatible with most BlackBerry smartphones now (looks like all of them to me) but make sure your device is listed.
