Finally some rumors are starting to circulate for the device many have been dreading for quite a while.  The BlackBerry Style 9670 is rumored to be coming to both Bell and Telus by the first week of November.  There’s no word on anything in the US yet as far as launch days go, but we are still under the impression that Sprint is going to hold it down exclusively, perhaps over Verizon.  Either way, there’s no documentation exemplifying how the rumors could be true, so we’ll keep it as a light thought for now.

The device is branded TELUS right on the screen as you can all see.  This is the first branding we see for the BlackBerry Bold 9780.  Earlier today we got word that TELUS was killing the Bold 9700 for good, which than brought out a new rumor of the 9780 launching on October 21st.  This is a quick teaser, but at least you know carrier brands are hitting the device up.

So here’s some more of the BlackBerry Theme Studio 6 which we expect to be seeing launching soon ad BlackBerry DEVCON at the end of this month.  There’s not much to it other than the fact that BlackBerry 6 OS devices such as the BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be supported.  There’s no word on how far themes can go and how flexible things will be with it, but I’m sure we’ll see some demos in San Fran at the conference.

Just for fun, here’s an application that let’s you color and draw in whatever you want.  As seen in the screenshots, there’s several colors to choose from.  Also when filling colors, ARTGO makes sure you stay in the lines, preventing you from making drastic mistakes to your artwork.  Features include:

  • automatically keeps your coloring inside the lines (this feature can be turned on or off)
  • save your art to work on later
  • send your drawings to a friend
  • set your drawings as your device wallpaper
  • Zeebu’s locking mechanism can be enabled to keep little ones from getting out of the app

We got word earlier today that Telus killed the BlackBerry Bold 9700 which of course can only mean that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be launching shortly.  Based on some of the comments left, there are folks out there who think the 9700 should continue to live out for a while after the 9780 launches just as a “lower end” Bold device.  It has been confirmed to run BlackBerry 6, so it’s quite a shame to see it get killed.  Drop us a line, tweet, or even participate in our poll on what you think!

Anything broadcasted around BBM with no reason or purpose is “spam” to me.  This was funny and I did get it about three times today so I had to share it with you folks as some may have not received it just yet.  The message reads just as seen above.  So that’s the solution.  F*ck yourselves and get a Nokia or Boost – how obnoxious.  It is funny though as it gets you excited and amped up thinking there’s a way to disable broadcast messages, then BOOM, you’re hit with the joke.

For a while, Research in Motion had a BlackBerry Help Twitter account that allowed users like you to tweet questions or concerns in regards to your device and someone would tweet you back with an answer.  It looks like RIM has extended that and made a whole website out of it calling it the Inside BlackBerry Help Blog.  I think it’s definitely a great site for beginners, or even intermediate users looking for some help or advice with their BlackBerry smartphones.

Surprisingly, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has been put up as an end of life device for Telus which usually means something new and fresh is coming.  How about a 9780? We already know all about the device and in the end of the day it’s basically a nice refresh of the very popular Bold 9700, but rocks a better camera and doubles up on the memory.  According to the rumor, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be launching October 21st, but there is no confirmed documentation to prove it just yet.

This has to be the best BlackBerry Torch 9800 commercial out there.  The marketing here definitely works, and certainly makes you want the device more.  This video shows the story of Moby Dick through a BlackBerry Torch using different applications, games, and commands all on the screen.  As we have mentioned about other Torch commercials, they have all been great so far and really push you to liking the device – may even hit home to some of you Apple or Android fanboys.

We intended to post about this earlier when the trailer aired on television, but it looks like BlackBerry has it on their YouTube channel in an interview.  In this video you’ll see the director and Ryan Reynolds who is essentially buried alive in a coffin with only a BlackBerry and flashlight speak about the movie, not touching up on the BlackBerry aspect really, but more of what the movie is about.
