The latest news on the BlackBerry tablet is that it will NOT be sold as soon as we had expected.  According to the Wall Street Journal, an internal note to clients from RBC Captial’s Mike Abramsky was sent out saying otherwise.  As a result, the tablet will now be available sometime in the first quarter of 2011.  Let’s face it – with the name trademarked and a release date being too soon after seemed a little too good to be true.  First quarter of 2011 sounds just about right for a tablet to launch from RIM.

Nice! So the flip BlackBerry Style 9670 just got FCC approval meaning it should be launching…. we still don’t know yet.  All we’ve got so far is some speculation that Sprint will be rockin’ it exclusively for a bit and then onto Verizon.  Who knows, maybe both will get the device at the same time.  So DEVCON starts in a few days, and of course we’ll be there.  There may be a possibility of some clamshells popping up there along with the tablet announcement.

We all know how to setup email (I think) but even so, I strongly believe this is a good video just to check out as it exemplifies how easy email setup is on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, more importantly on BlackBerry 6 OS.  Everything is pretty much the same, but the user interface is a bit different on 6.0.  See for yourselves in this video.

RIM has officially announced and released the BlackBerry for Business Blog.  On this new site, you’ll find information about different business product lines involving Enterprise, best practices, tips and tricks, and more.  Also, you’ll be able to read up on small and medium sized businesses in healthcare as well as field and professionals’ use of BlackBerry.  The site is designed just like the others we’ve seen (Inside BlackBerry).

So there wasn’t much hype at all for the BlackBerry Curve 3G since it was looked upon as a fresher version of the 8500 series Curve which is not entirely false.  It is indeed a fresher version, but along with it comes a few goodies.  We see enhanced memory in the Curve 3G 9330 along with a new face lift – but keeping the same form factor and overall design.  So over the last few days, I used the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 full time seeing how the experience would be from entry level point of view.  Hit the jump for our full review.

So Canadians aren’t completely left out here, but I don’t see this being any better than the delayed launches all around the country.  The Bell BlackBerry Torch 9800 is officially available for online purchases only.  September 30th they’ll be available in stores and the device doesn’t ship til the 29th, so is it even worth it?  In any case here are the pricing plans:

  • $179.95 on a 3-year
  • $449.95 on a 2-year
  • $549.95 on a 1-year
  • $599.95 on no contract

So the price does jump pretty high up after the 3-year contract – nothing new coming from Bell here.
