Bolt just announced on their forum this morning that they have updated their Bolt Browser to v2.3 adding some cool new features including HTML5 support. Here’s the full change log:
- View streaming flash or HTML5 videos from sites like YouTube, MySpace and MTV
- Enjoy Twitter and Facebook widgets with BOLT’s web app platform
- Easily switch between multiple sites with tabbed browsing
- Post to your Facebook or Twitter account directly from BOLT while you browse
- Backup your favorites in the cloud
And yes, it works on the Torch. Comparible to the stock WebKit browser? Pages do indeed load faster but I see it being not so touchscreen friendly. That’s where the trackpad comes in handy of course. Either way, it’s a great alternative browser to try out, especially if you’re trying to hit up some embedded media.
