The majority says no. Even though AT&T device exchange centers say they’re getting the Torch a lot in both exchanges and returns, the majority still say that they are not returning them. I won’t lie – I have had issues with my Torch including overheating and a really loose screen when open and closed. I’ve been through several exchanges, but I have no interest in going to another device or even back to the Bold 9700. It’s always been a luxury to have a larger screen and even be able to touch it to launch apps sometimes. The exact results were:
- Yes -33.33%
- No – 66.67%
So the results are quite clear that only one third of Torch owners did indeed return them, while the other two thirds decided to keep them whether or not they experienced issues.

It’s been awhile since we heard anything from the folks over at Elecite, but we got word a few days ago that they have brought up a new theme called Majesty. For awhile I sort of gave up on Elecite themes because of the repetitive icons and cheezy designs, but it looks like they are starting to step it up again to get back into luxury theme creations. This one’s called Majesty. Hit the link below to purchase or to check out more info on it.

We’ve been waiting well over a year for the inPulse Smart Watch to come out already and it looks like some units have quietly been shipped over to some reviewers or testers. It’s not the sexiest watch on the block, but I do want it for the sole purpose of reading all my BlackBerry Stuff on my watch. Check out this full video unboxing and review of the inPulse by Allerta. It’s sexy.

This may or may not be savvy to some of you, but sharing calendars can become quite vital to some while otheres don’t care for it. CalendarShare is a free application that allows BlackBerry users to share calendars. A downside I see to it is that both do have to have this application installed so I’m guessing this is good for those who frequently share calendar events on a regular basis between the same people.

OS Updates »

According to CyberGSM, that’s what the link is. I went ahead to download it and it appears to be a .214 build for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. So I’m not sure if this a is a false misprint or just a hybrid OS made for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550. If any of you have some insight here or find it to be valid or phony, drop us a line!
Again, we can’t confirm this to be real or fake, but I am leaning more towards it being fake just because the download does say .214 for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. In the notes though, it does say it was ripped from the BlackBerry Torch 9800, so that could be the explanation here. With that said, take it as you want.

While browsing through BlackBerry App World, I came across iFood Assistant LITE, brought to you by Kraft (yeah that cheese company). In general, iFood Assistant LITE gives you recipes of the day, ideas for dinner, and all sorts of recipes found on the Kraft website.
There’s the Recipe Box where you’ll be able to have it handy when shopping for ingredients at the super market. It gives it to you check-off list style so you can just check off any item you purchased already while also giving you spots where custom ingredients can be added.
There’s a lot to iFood Assistant LITE, but if you take your food seriously and just like to cook from time to time, you should definitely check it out. It’s got a great UI layed out made easy for everyone to use.

Over the weekend, I stopped by an AT&T warranty center for an exchange on a Bold 9700 and I did ask what their most returned and/or exchanged device was at the moment. The answer was the BlackBerry Torch 9800 in both returns and warranty exchanges. Problems reported were overheating, not charging, freezing up, loose bezels/screen, and poor battery life. We want to know how many of you out there have returned your BlackBerry Torch 9800.

Free themes! We got notified this weekend from Hedone Design about a new theme they have released over the weekend, free for everybody. In celebrating their birthday, Hedone Design has put out a new Hedone Design V2 theme absolutely free for download. The screenshot above says it all. It’s sleek and unique in its kind and I personally tried it where I found pretty much no lag with it on. Doesn’t hurt to try it, and you know it looks cool enough to.
